Tesco Maybe Stopping Using Coupons!!!!

i was told that if a checkout person takes too many coupons, they have bars put on there user number for the till to stop at a set level so mistakes don't happen - the checkout operator doesn't always get told they have been restricted.coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there(meaning under the buggy lol):D0

My local Tesco are now only accepting one manufacturer coupon per transaction (for items you have not purchased) and that really is down to goodwill.
The friendly sa I was chatting to told me the store has had too many cases recently of folk doing huge shops and then handing over a wad of coupons and actually only paying for a fraction of their shopping.
Sad, that a few people have to ruin it for others who have the sense not to take the mickey.0 -

But Tesco get their money back from the manufacturer AND they get a handling fee! Tesco do not loose out from accepting coupons.
I have done 2 small shops today and used all my coupons fine.

I went there too yesterday evening.;) Lots of great BOGOFs to be had.
I've been 'cheating' on Mr T with Morrisons and Lidl recently (half price on fruit and veg again in my local Lidl :j - it may be regional though). If Tesco stops accepting coupons, I guess I'll file for divorce lol

I think if you regularly shop at Tesco now you need tokens to bring your spend back down in line with other shops. I have a car and a couple of good shopping centres handy and spread my shopping with whatever is the best price (quality not forsaken). I will not pay Tesco for their fresh milk or their vegetables. These are staples and Tesco should do better with the prices on these in my opinion.DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

i agree. Tescos basic range has shot up in price over 300% on some products  and i use vouchers to bring my shoppin down to a reasonable price or next to nothing when i enough vouchers... tesco get the money back AND they get a handleing fee and if they are happy to take them then im happy to give them. I dont do somerfield vouchers anymore as these CANNOT be redeemed. its that sort of voucher use that will ruin it for the masses not using non store specific MOC'S.Bad mother to 2!
