I do think that using Somerfield and Superdrug vouchers hasnt helped the situation - ones that Tesco cannot claim back the money for -

Spent £30 on mens clothing tonight and managed to use the men's blue and the quit pack, bought one bottle of wine and managed to use 3 wine vouchers on it, also used money off coupon for coffee which I got in the store. When the promoter wasn't looking I grabbed some more. Thought they would not accept them as I had not purchased many items (although quite high priced items) but all let through phew.................
No Matter what you do there will be critics.

    I wouldn't worry about it too much ;) .

Every few weeks someone starts a discussion on here saying Tesco have/will stop accepting coupons.

If anything, my local Tesco seem to be more 'voucher friendly' at the moment :p . I have done 2 small shops at Tesco today and used plenty of vouchers on each visit (all my coupons are 'legit' - I don't do Sommerfield etc)

If your coupons are refused, then just smile sweetly, put them back in your purse (or in my case coupon tin ;) ) and use them on your next visit - and remember the face of the SA who served you....then never ever go back to that SA!.

I think it's the 'norm' for Tesco to only usually take 1 coupon of each type (eg, 1 Nappies voucher, 1 Magazine voucher etc).

Happy Couponing (sorry LittleBill I think I've pinched that word from you :D )

My local tescos was fine with coupons today but they have had a clamp down in the past. Try again and if refused keep them for another day

I thought it strange this weekend when I did my shop and hardly any of my vouchers scanned in the till as usual. Nothing to do with the CA not taking them, till would not accept them.

I do a big shop and try and put though some extras which in the past has worked a treat

I refer to vouchers I have not bought items for, so I am not moaning as till did take vouchers for items spent.

    Good while it lasted?

If anyone else has similar issues it would be great to hear too. I haven't tried since last weekend but will post back soon. I am hoping the till was having an 'off' day:D

In south Wales they've been taking only 1 courtesy voucher for ages. And in one particular store, they won't take any.

I've used extra clubcard vouchers for nappys and wipes etc recently. Although showing on the receipts as an addition Tesco seem NOT to be adding the extra points on. The total (checked online few days later) doesn't change when using certain extra point vouchers.

    Anyone else found that?

As others have said voucher use varies all the time. A few months ago I was told Branksome Poole Tesco took any vouchers so I started going there if I had any, last weekend they had changed their policy and wern't accepting newspaper vouchers. If your store doesnt do it, try again in a few months they may have changed their policy again.
