On Wednesday I was given a bottle of wine, a box of chocs and, the best bit, a thank you card for looking after a little girl with CF (and giving her her meds) on her first ever trip away from mum or dad.

Today a friend gave me a beautiful bouquet (from a posh florist) which she was given, on Wednesday, as a thank you. She is going away tomorrow so never even unwrapped it, just saved it for me as she knew I was going to see her today.

  • Hello! This is my first ever post and I've no idea if I've done it correctly! I love this thread, and wanted to add that today, my DS gave me a cup of tea in bed without me asking - a real treat indeed! :)

    A beautiful glass wasp catcher.

Oh and an empty St Germaine bottle from the pub where I had my lunch - it's a lovely shape.

Not for me but a very special gift for the mutt - my lovely neighbour gave him a huge bone with lots of meat on it.

I gave DD a lift to work to save her having to walk in the cold and wet (might not sound much but she lives 9 miles from me :))

My eldest DD gave me half a dozen fresh new laid eggs yesterday and she also gave me which was so much more precious almost 6 hours of her time as we spent the day together. She does a very busy stressful job and usually I only see her on a Sunday morning for coffee so a day with her yesterday was fantastic .
