On Saturday my Mum gave me a big bunch of yellow and red tulips - they are now sitting in two vases, one in the lounge on the coffee table and one on the dining room table. She said she got them for me as I'm always doing stuff for her - not sure how true that is but it was really nice of her.

Also last week a lady at the till in W***rose gave me a £5 voucher that was about to expire and she couldn't use herself. :-)

We have some dear friends who have a small-holding. The husband has filled some old compost bags with well rotted manure, (or 'Horse Poo' as it is known over here) and heaved it into my back garden.

    Couldn't have pleased me more.

That made me smile - it's probably the best received S1HT present anyone every had :rotfl:

Ohhh I was given an old kitchen cupboard - its actually in fab condition, I want to turn it into an ottoman style storage box for the end of my bed. I cant decide if I can use a staple gun to attach material and padding or if I should use some sticky back plastic stuff. (any suggestions?)
In the last few weeks I have been given clothes for my daughter, some of which got passed on to a bigger girl as my dd is wee to say the least, some books and some coffee instants
I have given away some of the coffee sachets when visiting a friend for lunch and have potted up one of my tomato plants into a mahoosive pot for my mum.
I get given loads of stuff all the time, my daughter is the smallest amoung her friends so get lots of clothes. Oh I got some hay for my bunny the other day as a friend decided to buy something else for her aviary.

an unexpected kiss...............my sister she came round for tea and i thought she was sitting at the table when i turned round she was behind me she hugged and kissed me said she was having a "moment" meant the world to me 10 yrs beween us 15 between her and our big bro, she was a "present" to our mum and dad lol, so she can sometimes be distant due to the age difference so it was lovely xx

^^^^^ That's lovely Craigy, the best type of gift.

Err well I got given some nipple balm! :rotfl: I'm expecting, and the lady who gave it to me is in her 80s an ex-nurse and breastfed her five children and has loads of grandchildren so I assume it will be useful! She's very practical like that! :)

I also got given an extra free photo from a private scan, as their machine had problems yesterday which made them late and the waiting room was full, so I offered to come back today instead so they could catch up on their other appointments. It's beautiful (but I would say that of course :D).
