If they aren't offering usual service, why on earth do they think they should be enforcing usual charges?Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0

I wonder if they can figure out a way to fine people who don't turn up for their flight.
Like people who booked two trips home on adjacent days when they were really cheap, and then used the other one
Sounds like a good idea to me, I used to do that. I paid the full fare quoted for all flights booked, if other people couldn't be ars*d to to stay up to 01.00 (or midnight in the UK) to get the cheapest flights that's their loss.
In the same way that the Air Asia fans got the real give-away prices for next January if they were booking at 5pm (UK time yesterday). If you can't be ars*d
there is no reason to complain, it's your loss.0 -

As usual a big drama from the Ryanair haters.
They may say they've contacted them, but who knows. Ryanair give we haters so much ammunition.0 -
FROM THE RYANAIR EMAIL: 1. Online Check-in - Not available from 16:00 hrs on Fri. 18 May until 12:00 hrs. Sun. 20 May. Passengers travelling between these dates and times who are unable to check-in online can check-in at the airport and will not be charged the airport check-in fee.0

The bast*rds, how dare they NOT CHARGE people.
Will that shut up the Ryanair haters? (will anything)0 -
Just in case anyone hasn't learnt from the last hundred times this has happened, this is how Ryanair works: -
1. Make up a ridiculous story about how they are going to charge customers for using the plane toilet/being too fat/not using an offline website.
2. Get free news stories that would cost hundreds of thousands if they were paying for the advertising space.
3. Watch as thousands of people post online "I know their flights are only £x but I STILL WON'T FLY WITH THEM RAGE LOL!".
4. Actually do their own thing and have a laugh about how they can fool people with this again and again. And again.0 -
Ryanair long ago joined the list of companies I won't have anything to do with because their attitude stinks. Vote with your wallets - it's the only language they understand.
I do vote with my wallet - hence why I fly Ryanair. Brussels to Corfu £16.75. Cheapest alternative is £80 on a different budget airline (they are all pretty much the same), or £126 non-direct on the cheapest "proper" airline.
EVERYONE knows that with Ryanair you get ZERO service. In fact, they usually emphasise in their press releases that you should expect NOTHING to be included that doesn't strictly have to be - they even have "no frills" underlined as part of their logo.
If you need to have your hand held through the short process than fly with someone else. For everyone else both capable and willing of reading about 5 mins max worth of conditions, and can survive 3hrs without being pampered, fly Ryanair.0 -
I think you have to look at the journey with a wider lens.
A typical return flight costs me around £60 on Ryanair.
The Airbus to Stansted is around £20 return, but I need a minicab to get me to the nearest bus stop, which can easily be another £20 two way.
At the other end, it could easily cost another £40 to and from the hotel.
This is why I moan about being ripped off by the local transportation, and consider Ryanair really good value for money.0 -

So the Ryanair haters will be disappointed again.
btw
Some of the MSE team could get a job writing for the Sun or the Sport. All drama + no substance
Any rubbish for a headlineRyanair passengers flying on Friday evening or over the weekend could be walloped with a £60 per person charge, or £240 for a family of hour, if they fail to check in even earlier than normal.0 -
Passengers should pay the charge under protest and then claim back the charge from Ryanair under the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999.

Sorry, but that's the funniest thing I have heard for a long time.
If by any chance you win in court, you really don't expect RyanUnfair to pay up, do you? They have a very long history of ignoring court rulings, as well as the laws of the UK and EU.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
