In the same way that I would agree to underwrite anyone not taking advantage of an email offering to pay $25,000,000 from a dead African diplomat into your bank account?
When you say bailiff and court costs WILL be added, how certain are you that the PPC would be able to win a case in a small claims court when many PPCs regularly lose such cases?
Even Martin Lewis accepts that PPCs have won cases they have taken to court. It appears there is no certainty on court judgements and so I would advise the poster with the ticket today to today to err on the side of caution. That is unless you are willing to remove that certainty by gauranteeing to fund the losses?0 -

I have not heard of email scammers ever taking anyone to court. That is because scammers are exactly what they are! However, I have read on this site about one court case where the parker ended up paying in excess of £2500 in total after losing the court case.0 -

The posts at #16 and #18 can be safely ignored as they are obviously the work of a PPC troll, and they have been reportd as spam.
Edit: Told you so, only I didn't know Kev and Manx were already posting.

By my calculations, over 260,000 PPC tickets are issued a year, the scam has been running for around 7 years now.
Thats 18 million PPC tickets
the number of cases won where a defence was provided we know about is 18
So you have exactly 1 in a million chance of a ppc winning a case against you that is correctly defended.
At those odds, you would be a fool not to keep your £60 stake money.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Of the handful of cases that they have won, there have been instances of poor defences, relations of the PPC owners, and so on involved. Most PPC wins are actually defaults. Most PPC cases result in losses.
If the PPC cases were as strong as you make out, how come they don't pursue EVERY case? 99.99% of them are simply dropped after the letter chains.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

260,000x7 is 1.82m by my calculations. I hope you don't offer financial adivse for a living?0 -
So a 1 in 100,000 chance instead then?
You're right. That makes ALL the difference!Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Lawabidingcitizen raises a few legitamate concerns that deserve a good reply, more later...From the Plain Language Commission:

On that basis I am advising that the odds on losing a court case against a PPC means that the sensible advice is to ignore the ticket.
You're still avoiding my questions, I am being polite enough to answer yours.Je Suis Cecil.0
