What do they say the charge is for?0

Was it pay and display, or free?
Not that it makes a lot of difference, it merely means that you might owe them nothing at all (for a free car park) or a couple of quid for a pay and display car park (whatever the P&D fees are for 35 mins worth).
What you DON'T owe them is £60 or £90.
Under civil laws they are entitled to their losses only, not some made up figure they have plucked out of the air.
Do ignore this, and do not contact Parking Eye.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
it is a pay and display car park. The letter just says the charge is for entering and exiting the car park with a time of 35minutes spent in the car park0

So did the driver pay and display, or is it one of those where the vehicle's registration number has to be entered and the wrong number was put in?0
-
Well, legally, you owe them a couple of quid or so.
You might want to send them a cheque for 30 mins parking, plus a few quid to cover their costs.
Or you could just ignore them. They ARE trying to scam you by asking for £60.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
we didn't even get out of the car my son had fell asleep on the way there so after pulling up me and my partner decided to eat some food in the car and decided to let our son stay sleeping, as it was windy and cold out side anyway we decided to leave. we didn't get out of the car and didn't get a ticket.0

In my experience ( I do alot of white van work) Ignoring them leads to two more letters (one with scary red ink and capitals) then they go away! - Never ignore ones from the council enforcement but private companies are having a laugh.0

Fair enough, as Manx has said, you can either pay them the charge for parking for 35 minutes- at the proper rate- £2 or whatever, because you did park even if you stayed in the car.
Certainly the imaginative "fine" is not due.
Or you could ignore everything you get- but that is your decision. There is a school of thought which suggests that by claiming something they are not entitled to, they forfeit the right to what they ARE entitled to; perhaps morally justifiable, but I don't think a sound principle of law!0 -
parking eye/spy/lie are well known on here, you have not been fined and can choose to ignore this fake ticket,if you do nothing will happen,,or you can offer the fee for 35mins,,but if you do contact them they will hound you,as i say its a fake unenforceable ticket/or loo paper if you like.0
