Darling dearest Granny - please stop beating yourself up - you are truly a lovely person, you OH does need hitting with a sledge hammer IMHO not to treat yoou better, your darling family are very lucky to have you, your DG's could not want for a better Granny. It's not too long now till the wedding, and I would be very surprised if there was no stress at all, it's all part of the territory I'm afraid. You will all come out of the wedding day smiling and happy knowing that you did all you could to help everyone and without causing you the worry of further money issues. I just hope you know how much you are loved, by your family, friends and virtual MSE compadres - I wish I could hug you in person and make you feel better - I just hope my words reach you for now, please accept this dodgey hug :grouphug: and know that you really are one in a million. Congratulations on your 5 month anniversary. You are staying on track despite all the additional expenses that are being thrown your way, and it is an honest diary so you include the ups and downs xxx.

Thank you for all your support once again my dear friends. I hadn't realised I was feeling so glum until I saw your replies and re-read what I had posted.

I had a really nice day with DDIL2B on Saturday and we had a fantastic time in the party yesterday and the stress of being with those of OHs family members that don't appreciate me wasn't as bad as we imagined. The rest of the family were lovely and seemed to be really glad to see us as we tend to stay away when his 1 sister and her awful family make me and mine feel uncomfortable but yesterday it seemed like it was her that felt that way rather than us. She didn't move out of her seat the whole time whereas I had a whale of a time playing with all the children in the party. DGD2 even sat on OHs lap for the first time feeding him a lolly. It was so cute and he was pretty moved. OH gave DS money for drinks instead of him having to ask every time he wanted one and unbeknownst to me so was really nice. He even had money left over at the end of the day. Taxi home for them only cost £10 and we were all pretty shattered by 8pm so they went home for an early night.

DGDs stayed and we had lots of cuddles and kisses last night and this morning. 2 very tired little girls, slept until 7am, which was nice. Then after taking DGD1 to school, DGD2 and I played until DS and DDIL2B were ready for collection and then we all went for coffee.

Not a cheap weekend and not a NSD today but I now have just about everything I need for wedding so rest of the month should go to plan.

Am taking part in the Beauty Bible trial this autumn and just received my package, £250 worth of really luxurious products for the princely sum of £30, so a real bargain, paid for by DD as a surprise.

So all in all, I think my post for this month's diary anniversary would look a bit different if I posted today instead.

Still as RB said my diary includes the positives as well as the negatives and I write how I'm feeling at the time. It helps me to stay on track financially if I post when I'm feeling glum as it makes me conscious that those are my danger times.

I really appreciate the kind words you all have to say to me so much.

Just because you've got the luxury goodies, you're not excused you from trying the chocolate porridge face pack ;).:rotfl:

P.S. Is the Beauty Bible offer still on? I can feel temptation grabbing me xx.

No I think they have all their testers for this trial but if you register your name now they will send you an email when you get to the top of the list and then you can decide if you want to/can afford to take part. Its always £30 and you get at least £100 and often more worth of goodies. I had 10 products in all with 8 skin/hair care and 2 make up.

Only had 1 sachet of chocolate porridge, otherwise I'd be tempted.

Signature update, as I said not great but step in the right direction.

    £52,038 so % paid off is 8.65%

Calculations were wrong before 8.3% paid off not 9.17%

Still happy though as its going down and gone down despite expensive events this year.
