Hello all, Missrlr, I'll have my fingers crossed for you that work isn't anywhere near as bad as you're expecting.
Seeing DGDs on Monday, when it'll be just us as OH is working double shift
No plans for tomorrow, but may go for coffee.
Had NSD #8 today
OH spent a fair penny on new hob and oven. Needed hob but wanted oven of same make. Ours is missing a knob, but other than that works ok. Still its his money and new one is nice, so I'm not going to object. Be nice to have hob that doesn't need a match to light it and where you can chose which burner you want to use. Especially now I'm doing more cooking.
Saw this sign on the back of someone's car today and made me laugh
Night all, hope you are having a good weekend

Hello lovely. I hope things were nowhere as near as bad as you expected yesterday xGood morning dearest granny! How are you? Obviously busy or perhaps eloped with the grandchildren? I shall look for you later, after I've done my stint at work.

Good morning my dear. I was busy with DGD2 all day yesterday. We had a fantastic Granny morning just to ourselves. Went around the shops, I bought large knitting needles, which she insisted on carrying around the shop and a toy mobile phone for her, which she loved. We then went for coffee and she was such a sweetie in there it was really enjoyable. Then home to play for a couple of hours before we went to get DGD1 from school. Back to Granny's for 2 hours and then home to bed. When I left, despite being exhausted she climbed on my lap and waved goodbye to her DM and DF. It was really a great day.
Back to work today and I have to be honest, I really don't want to go. I'm quite tired and wish I was working from home. I'm going to try to finish early today as OH is working a double shift again so it'll be nice to have the house to myself.
Hope everyone else has a good day.
NSD#9 on Sunday but a SD yesterday.

Morning Granny, glad to hear you had a good time with the DGD yesterday. Work was sort of not as bad, but worse is to come this week it is shaping up to be a corker! I think I need to achieve a work life balance, and getting in early and leaving late plus doing emails at hme probably isn't it.
Hope work is ok today am also tired but put that down to a lack of relaxing holiday and stress here meaning no good sleep.Start info Dec11

9 NSD in September! Fantastic xxMortgage: £280,752/ £262,515.84

So much for the early finish. Left at 7.30pm, absolutely shattered and starving. Quick stop at Mr T, £20 lighter, probably 1lb heavier as rammed a pork pie in my mouth so fast it turned into a scone :rotfl: and home for some tortellini. Bought veg to make some soup for lunch and spinach pasta for tea.
Work was horrendous as found out b0ss from h3ll is going to be there every day for 2 weeks, luckily I'm only actually in the office 2 days per week. Got in to a "We need to talk note" Rubbished one of my case reviews and left me with stacks of extra research to do before I meet the clients on Fri & Tues and even said he thinks I'll have to meet them again another day -
Discovered he's really upset colleague yesterday, she's in pieces but he's so devious he makes it look like its you not him. I tried to console her but she's quite upset. Half expecting her to go off sick with stress, still at least she knows she can rely on me to support her. He really is a prized pl0nker.
Anyway so not a NSD today but not too bad. Even though I was stressed, starving and tired, didn't give in to chocolate or unnecessary spending - yey Granny
Off to bed now.

Making someone laugh when they're feeling down is one of the best feelings in the world. So for anyone who is feeling a little blue today:
Where is this bus going?
A drunken man gets on the bus late one night, staggers up the aisle, and sits next to an elderly woman.
She looks the man up and down and says, "I've got news for you. You're going straight to h3ll!"
The man jumps up out of his seat and shouts, "Man, I'm on the wrong bus!"
Have a good day all, planning nsd #10
