Hello Granny Anita, wow you have some reading to go, I suggest reading it when you are having problems sleeping and before you know it, you'll be in the land of nod

Well done on the NSD days in August. That's really going some! :T :j
Thanks Mr B, I probably count them differently to some but they are counted when I don't actually spend any money other than direct debits/standing orders as they go out automatically each month. eg not buying unnecessary jumper dresses!?!
Before my LBM I used to have NSDs most of the week but would max the cards on the weekends, spending a week's wage in one fell swoop. Now I begrudge spending on anything.
Never before have I had a wedding coming up and decided not to buy a new outfit and I can't really believe I'm doing so for my son's wedding. However, the outfit I am going to wear is new, just not brand new as it's been sitting in my wardrobe unworn for 2/3 years. It's classic so perfectly suitable and there is absolutely no reason to buy something else. Plus I couldn't afford to buy anything anywhere near as nice.

Night all x
Well the ever changing cartoon is off again. :rotfl: Will hop over to Mrs F's to see what hers looks like today, hope its nothing rude x
OH just asked ME to take HIM for COFFEE - now in the past I would have felt guilty that he pays for all luxuries/treats etc. Today, not on your nelly, I gave him a "Granny look of disdain" to which he responded, "OK, I guess that's a no then"
I nearly caved this morning to get a new mobile phone. Mine is currently on PAYG with Mr T and I spend on average £10pm topping it up. This gives me £20 free credit each month to text/call UK mobiles/landlines. The new phone would have cost the same but give me internet access on my phone when out and about, which I don't have currently. I also don't really like my current phone. However, when, like last month, pennies are short I can decide not to top the phone up, as I don't usually use the £10 paid for credit. I currently have about £15 on it but no free minutes as they expire within 30 days. With the new phone I would have to pay £10 each month. So after some thought and deliberation I decided against it.
Anyway off out to pick up some parcels from the sorting office and then not sure what we'll do. Granny day again tomorrow - yey xTargets

Well Mrs F's cartoon is still about Pinocchio but don't think the one I posted was about driving at all. I think it was a snowman joke?!?
Had a good day today. The parcels were 4 free R3vl0n nail varnishes, a Cl1n1que mascara, a D3sp3rate H0usewife's perfume, a L'0ccitane bath balm and 2 L'0ccitane sachets, so a good haul and well worth a trip to the sorting office.
OH took us for coffee at C0st^ and we got a cheesy pretzel and an iced pastry in Mr T to eat with it, thereby saving a bit of money.
Didn't have a NSD today as saw a pair of pumps in M&5 that I liked, originally £25, reduced to £12 and when I got to the till were down to £9, so even better. Looked for shoes for wedding too, as its only 8 weeks away but didn't find any. Think I've found some on Fleabay, BIN £10 or starting bid £5, with £4 p&p. Only 1 day to go and no bidders as yet, so I'll watch til the last minute and then bid. Go via TCB and will get small amount back too if successful.
Still on the look out for a cover up for the wedding, to go over my dress, but found really nice lacy flared cardi pattern today, free, so may give knitting that a go.
Tired tonight and going out with OH and DGDs tomorrow, beach/zoo if its nice, pizza/ice-cream parlour/amusement arcade if not. Going to take picnic if nice or vouchers for pizza and coins from jar if not. Only time we've taken them out together this summer as OH been so busy working, so worth spending a little money x
Tonight's funny
One day an employee came in to work with both of his ears bandaged.
When his boss asked him what happened, he explained:
"Yesterday I was ironing a shirt when the phone rang and I accidentally answered the iron instead of the phone!"
"Well," the boss said, "that explains one ear, but what about the other?"
"They called back!"Night all Granny x
