  • Hi granny, the fudge sounds nice but I'm being good so i'm pleased you havent offered it around lol

My husband can be a grump but he gets stroppy with it. Not long after we first got together I left him at paignton zoo about 40 miles from home, he didn't drive at the time and had to get a train home. He woke up in a mood then when we got there he walked a good 5 steps behind me and DS with a face like thunder when we got back to the car he started being a little nasty with something he was saying so I left him behind :o He hasn't done it since :rotfl:

I've nearly finished for the day and then only have to go into work for at most 2 hours sometime between now and Wednesday morning to send off urgent letter. Waiting for something to come in first though before I can send it. If it doesn't come in by Wednesday it will have to wait until I get back from leave on 14th August. A lovely nearly 3 weeks off.
Morning granny! Hope you're not feeling so sick after all that fudge now! You inspired me to google how to make it, and it seems easy....but i'm sure they are famous last words lol. I may try it this weekend though as we have ingredients in and the kids would love it :)

No the sickness has worn off and now I'm wishing I had more, may follow you in your plan to make some. Me thinks it may be cheaper to buy though.

Well I've decided it really must be the weather, either that or he's not well because he has come home for the 3rd day running in one of the worst moods I've ever known. He's a grumpy sod at the best of times, this is beyond grumpy. I've tried asking him what's wrong and been told "nothing, stop going on will you. I'm tired" Well excuse me for asking.:mad::eek:D

Jeepers that's scary, can't multiple quote and iPad throws a fit but clearly operator error but are you sure you aren't me in a parallel universe? I had the exact self same conversation and currently the grumpy sod is snoring on the chair as last night a mosquito entered the room so he "couldn't sleep all night" apart from the bit where he woke me snoring :rotfl:

Yah to fudge and it is great to make as you have to beat it hard for a while and you can imagine someones head being the mixture (did I say that out loud?) also works for hand made meringues yes I mean beat the whites by hand no mechanised intervention at all!

Hi Granny hope DS is feeling better ... I bet you are looking forward to three weeks off, really nice. DD is fine so much happier and healthier, and we of course have breathed a huge sigh of relief now she is home. We had a fantastic day Saturday on the boat, lovely weather, so did a short cruise with DD her boyfriend and our Niece, couple of glasses of wine and dinner, it was truly a perfect afternoon sun shone and everything was just so peaceful. Just one of the days where you just feel content.. I am positive it also has something to do with seeing the sun ... Of course today it is peeing down again... back to normal then...:rotfl:
Please take some time for you over your holiday, a little bit of self pampering dosent hurt the soul !!x

:rotfl::rotfl: I got asked tonight if I'd lost the ability to wash cutlery. When I responded with, "no, why have you?" He responded with "there isn't a teaspoon in the drawer". Well as I drink herbal tea with the teabag left in the cup, I don't use the teaspoons, so ho hum you grumpy b*m. :rotfl: He insists in no dishwasher and I refuse to stand at the sink wasting gallons of water just to wash a few spoons. If he wants them washed he can blooming well rinse them when he uses them and that way they wouldn't build up. Childish I know but so much fun. :D

Oo now there's an idea I can pretend the fudge mix is him, makes me all the more keen to give it a go tomorrow. He's just gone to bed after informing me that he has 7 shifts left before he finishes for holidays! !!!!!!, he is supposed to be finishing tomorrow but I now find he has agreed to work double shift Monday and Tuesday and Saturday and Sunday morning and may also add tomorrow afternoon. He is absolutely crazy stupid, silly silly man.

50 shades is much more entertaining than my love life at the moment. Sad thing is he would be mortified if he knew I was sharing this bit of info but won't do anything to rectify it. Sad sad man.

DS is feeling better now antibiotics ave kicked in. He actually ventured out of the house today for first time since Monday. Had to go and rescue him and DDIL2B mind as he managed to drain his battery and neither him nor DDIL2B were well enough to bump start the car. Luckily I had jump leads and wasn't too far away. Kids eh, even when they are 24 and have left home :D

Glad you had a good day with DD and that she is feeling better, must be a real weight off your mind now she's home x
