Granny I'm pleased that Grandpa seems to be out of his mood, hope you enjoy the coffee. I think you deserve some cake too!!

New Leaf I thought Macca was awful!:( I thought he would've learnt his lesson after the Jubilee. He needs to hang up his mic now as I'm sure he isn't short of a bob or two.

Have to agree with you folks. When I saw him at the jubilee he was really dire and last night was not much of an improvement.

Glad you had a good day yesterday Granny and hope you enjoy the coffee (and cake ;)) today.

Have been to have my hair cut and coloured (its my 3 month treat which I save for) and have to say Im pleased with it. Funny things is that as OH is working nights all weekend I feel like a party girl all done up with nowhere to go :rotfl:

OH and his boys have asked me to make them all a chicken casserole for tomorrow night so have just been out to buy some chicken thighs and will get that started soon.

The sun has come out again after the early morning rain so need to get a shift on.

Have a good day and take care

    happy Birthday N2O

I watched the ceremonies and I thought it was quite good. I feel bad that Paul McCartney has lost his ability to sing though x

Yes I thought that when I saw/heard him in the Jubilee concert, seemed sad as he's clearly struggling to hold a note now as he struggles to get the breath.

Well how rude my last post seems when I hadn't replied to you all. In my defence it wasn't aimed at any of you, it just tickled me somewhat and our posts must have crossed, HONEST

    Anyway:

Mood back to normal, which is still slightly odd by anyone else's standard but normal for him. Did buy cakes, from Mr T, (naughty) and ate them in C0st^ with coffee. YUMMY x He also paid for the food shopping so saved me a bit of cash. Still not a NSD though as bought some tops for hols.

I thought he was worse last night if that was possible. Time to hang up your microphone Macca

I bet it is lovely x

Had a fairly good day today doing next to nothing and it was bliss. Not sure whether having DGDs tomorrow or Monday, waiting on DDIL2B to decide. If not tomorrow got another lazy day planned, otherwise if they are coming will be busy busy with my favourite pastime.

    Sleep well all Granny x

Glad you had an enjoyable evening NRA x

I'm sure someone said they missed the royal/bond sequence in the Opening ceremony but I can't remember who. So I found this link to see it and a good article about it too.

    The Queen and 007

and I think someone else said they missed the lighting of the torch. The link below shows a video from the Queen opening the games. At 21:35mins into the video the lighters put the flame to the cauldron. Impressive
