Thank you Lucielle, NOA & Lucky

I had a lovely mothers day with DD. She bought me breakfast & lunch & 2 stunning dresses. So I felt incredibly spoilt for the first year in ages.

DS failed to message/ring me but apparently messaged DD the day before to say he'd sent cards and for DD to wish me a happy day! Not sure why, when I'm using a UK mobile on the same network as him, he couldn't at least send me a text.

OH is struggling without me but is well, watered and fed so is ok. I ring him weekly and email him often with pictures I've taken so I know he's ok and he knows I'm missing him

DD and I are having a lovely time together, just chillaxing and doing as much or as little as we feel like doing

Hope all is well with you

Wow I'm so sorry it's been so long since I posted on here. Life continues to be good in the land of Oz. (Beanie, it was just what I needed)

My birthday has been & gone and was lovely. Although DD & I went to a nail bar, the day before my birthday, a Groupon deal, and walked out as it was so bad. DD had to fight to get a refund as the cheeky blighters redeemed the 2 vouchers as soon as we left.

Instead we went to a chocolate shop and had hot chocolate & strawberries with dipping chocolate. In the evening we went for food with her fella & his 3 children. We intended to watch the fireworks but the children were too tired so we went home instead. On my birthday DD & I went for brunch at a lovely French cafe with one of her friends & then spent a lazy afternoon with DVDs & snacks before going for a lovely meal with her fella in the evening.

DS messaged me with a voicemail happy birthday from DGC which was lovely.

Since then DD has been busy with work & fella so I've spent a lot of time on my own. Yesterday I was feeling particularly home sick & lonely (probably because of the bank holiday & the crowds of groups of people around everywhere) but I told her & she came to see me for an hour. Today I went to weigh at her clinic & then we went for coffee before she went back to work & I went for a walk.

Tomorrow we're going out for the day. Thurs I've got a massage booked, birthday gift, and then I'm going to walk over to the Opera House to take more photos.

I've got a month left out here so I'm determined to make the most of it as it really is the trip of a lifetime

I've lost a little more weight since I last posted but it's been extremely slow, possibly because I've increased my calories to allow me to exercise. I'm walking 10,000 steps plus per day, in fact my target for this week is 100,000 and 3 days in I've done 41,000 already.

Hope life is good with you all

Happy Belated Birthday Granny!:bdaycake:Make a wish and may it really come true:)

Sounds like you had a lovely time, though I guess that is also why you were missing your loved ones back home. It is a long time to be away - just imagine the welcome you'll get upon your return :)
Your DD and her partner sound wonderful - and have really helped make it a trip of a lifetime.

All the extra walking you are doing is amazing - I have plans to build up to 10K steps a day but am only managing about 1000 per day on the stepper - although that doesn't count the normal walkabout doing household chores etc. I ought to get a counter!

    Hello all, :hello:

Sorry it's been so long x

I've been a bit out of sorts since I got back home and didn't even want to think about money

I'm feeling a bit more settled today though, possibly due to finally getting a kitten - he's adorable

And finally finding out when my other operation is likely to be; end of July at the earliest

Other than that all is well in the Granny house

Will try to catch up on some diary news this week

    Have a good one all
