No OD in January? How good is that? :T

Granny day sounded good even if the little ones were stroppy, sometimes they're very funny in a strop, especially if you get to give them back at the end of the day :T

Thanks for the continued support my dears

Yes Piq DGD2 manages to make me giggle when she's in a strop as she does it so well. OH bore the brunt of it, which made me laugh even more, even if I did tell her off for being nasty to him

Work has been absolutely awful the last 2 days, leaving me feeling like saying s0d you I'll go off sick now. HE has been difficult to say the least, refusing to make management decisions that are his responsibility to make. Big boss is out of the office until Friday and I won't actually see him until next week to discuss, I just don't need this additional stress.

I ended up reverting to form today and stress spent, not a massive amount but definitely a want not need. I also over ate and over talked at OH when he came home from work, so felt unsupported. Glad to be going to bed to be honest.

In better news seeing DGD1 tomorrow for some quality time, think we're going for afternoon tea. Will also see other 2 when I drop her home so plenty of kisses and cuddles to look forward to.

Pay day tomorrow and I arrive there in the black, first time in years

Oh Granny, seriously drop email *at the time* when plonker HIM is not making a decision and it impacts your ability to complete / achieve / deliver even if it is to you (so you have contemporaneous record) or to big Boss. What situation is, when you asked for a decision, what this means for you and others if relevant (get detailed - I find it helps with the ).

Seriously though once you have done this it is NO LONGER a matter for your head, you have done anything that is reasonable. At that point shut it out. As someone once said to me, if your work is the equivalent of a tenant in your house and the tenant was not paying rent, would you put up with it? Not likely|! So work only get to have working hours time in your head, after that you are giving them free time energy and effort. You would not do that for a tenant not paying rent so don't do it for work.

No major harm done, hope the rest of the 10 days (or is it 9 now?) you can avoid being stressed at work at least, it is NOT helping you prepare for Operation Day! ;)

Hello lovely granny..sorry I haven't been around much but was thrilled to just read Post 2000!! What brilliant news! :D:D

Also no OD! Well hon you are beating me..that is truly excellent. Although as ever I have plans, I need to get to my DFD! :)

Poo to work. I like missrir's analogy around the tenant.. do think you need to try some mindfulness and exclude it from your thoughts when you are not at work. Don't take it home with you:grouphug:

Thanks for the messages. Missrlr as ever your advice was sound. However the decision he won't make, despite receiving an email from HR telling him it's his decision affects me personally and therefore needs making. I'm not messing around though, I'm going over his head to big boss and if he refuses to deal with issue I'm putting in a complaint.

HE has been so supportive over the last year, I honestly think he's panicking now he knows I'm not going to be there for an extended period.

After a rubbish couple of days I sloped off early today to collect DGD1 from school and we went for afternoon tea. Despite the fact that she is very naughty at the moment, she was still fun to be with and we spent a lovely couple of hours giggling together.

The funniest moment was this conversation

Me: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Her: Oh I don't want a job when I'm bigger

    Me: Why not?

Her: I want to stay home and look after my children

Ah how cute I thought until....

Her: I won't have a husband you see

Me: You can't have children without a husband though can you?

Her: Yes you can as long as you can drive

How I kept the giggles in I'm really not sure but oh it so made me smile.

Had a blinking speeding ticket today for doing 32 in a 30 zone coming back from the hospital last week. So annoyed with myself for that.

Date of office closure was announced today, won't affect me as I'll be off sick at the time and knew I wasn't going to be going back to same office when I'm ready to go back to work.

Off to bed now as I'm in the office tomorrow and will probably have a battle of wills with HIM to face
