Well dear diary and friends I'm afraid you are only getting a quick post tonight with no special smilies. I'm tired and about to head off to bed and have a skype date with my angel in the morning.

Fairly good day today, working from home, lots done and spoke to boss who didn't seem to be in such a bad mood. To be fair he's cheesed off because his boss told him he has to change his working pattern at really short notice and its difficult to do without disrupting family things. Still no excuse for taking it out on us. After all, we could then have taken it out on our clerks and where would it have ended.

Anyway, may have to go away on Friday for work and if so may sneak in a work paid trip to my mum. We'll be on safe ground if it happens because I'd be going to her house, but may not happen, depends on client getting back to me tomorrow.

Also may have to go away overnight again next Wed, means I'll miss colleague's leaving do lunch, which is carp, considering I didn't join him last Friday when the other guy left. Can't be helped though and no alternative. Again depends on client but more likely than Friday's trip.

Another NSD today and £7.07 paid in tcb from my silly purchase a couple of weeks ago. Boss approved my expenses, so up £33 on top of actual spends, goes straight into F&F savings account, although may move it to DS wedding pot. Thought I could withdraw my survey money too as finally reached £10 but then discovered withdrawal limit is £20. I hate surveys but now have to stick it out or I'll lose that £10.

OH bought my asparagus for me and garlic stuffed olives as well as chilli stuffed olives and more hummus. Was quite pleased with him really as normally when I go onto a healthy eating plan he either takes over or more often buys himself chocolate and other yummy treats and eats them in front of me. This week, he's left me to my own devises and seems to be supporting me.

My virus is still with me, though nowhere near as bad as it was - still got a headache, which feels like a woodpecker tapping inside my skull. Have now developed a rather rattly bear sounding cough and a clicking in my ear, bit like grass-hoppers. Gosh my body is beginning to sound like Pinot's house - :rotfl:

My sinusitis seems to have cleared though - fingers crossed. Took lems1p and honey to bed with me and it was rather yummy.

Anyway, another NSD planned tomorrow. After skype date, my dad is coming for lunch and coffee, anyone would think I didn't have any work to do - LOL, can catch up with work stuff after as OH probably working a double shift again.

BFN , hope you all had a good day and have a great one tomorrow. Gx2 x

Much better thank you my lovely. I'm going to miss my lems1p and honey once its gone - may have to buy some blackcurrant squash and continue having that with honey to take to bed. Next I'll be putting on my bed jacket and looking out for the Wolf :rotfl:

Anyway a rather good day today but naughty Granny has done hardly any work. :o

Started with DS ringing to see if I'd take DGD1 to school as he's still not well and it was chucking it down so didn't want DDIL2B to have to take DGD2 out walking in it. I love seeing their smiley little faces in the morning, it does start the day off rather nicely. :j

Then got back, made my smoothie, not so great, ended up throwing it down the toilet as it looked like someone had been rather unwell and I really didn't want to waste water trying to wash it away. Not sure what went wrong but it was rank :(

Then had skype video chat with DD, OMG why have we never done this before? Last time we skyped on the phone I got so irritated with the drop out I refused to do it again. So good and free and oh so lovely to see my beautiful angel. I think its going to be a regular monthly thing now, she's too busy for it to be any more frequent. :T

As I finished with her, my office phone rang and it was the police asking for information regarding a client. Wasn't one of my cases but I seem to be their named contact. Helped as much as I could and then gave him a number so he could talk to them for more info. Got a well done from my boss - wow wonders

Shortly after my dad turned up, see I did say not much work done :o and I had a salad whilst he had pasties. He doesn't do veg, has never really liked it and now he's in his dotage has decided if he doesn't like something, he's not blooming eating it. :rotfl:

Started working properly about 2pm and then thought I'd ring DS to see how he was feeling. Still feeling carp so offered to pick DGD1 up from school. DDIL2B rang me back and asked if I minded taking her to Asd^ for bits, so left house at 3.10 and didn't get back til 5pm.

Oops, logged back on to work and worked til 9pm. Got a lot done in that time but misread boss' email so took something out of report, emailed him back, reread his instruction, realised I'd taken the wrong thing out so had to redo it, 1hr wasted and emailed him back to fess up. Still at least it now looks like I was working today :rotfl:

NSD today, despite going to Asd^, sat in car with DGD2, playing teddy pushes elephant off the chair and makes him dance, whilst mummy and DGD2 went shopping. Great fun.

Signature updated with yesterday's and today's NSD.

Doesn't look as though I'm going away tomorrow as client failed to confirm so working in office. Should get 2 major pieces of work off my desk and another mostly completed, which will be good. No news yet on next week's trip, given client until Tues to confirm.

Off to bed now, with honey lems1p, last one I think. Hope you've all had a good day and have an even better one tomorrow.

    A funny for today

There is a VIRUS going round called HOUSEWORK!!!! If you feel the need to start housework, stop immediately. The virus wipes out your social life. If you should come in contact with housework go straight to the nearest store & buy the only known antidote called wine. Please forward this warning immediately to at least 6 friends , If you realise you do not have 6 friends you are already infected !!!!

    When a woman lies

One day, when a seamstress was sewing while sitting close to a river, her thimble fell into the river. When she cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, "My dear child, why are you crying?"

The seamstress replied that her thimble had fallen into the water and that she needed it to help her husband in making a living for their family.

The Lord dipped His hand into the water and pulled up a golden thimble set with sapphires.
"Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked.
    The seamstress replied, "No."

The Lord again dipped into the river. He held out a golden thimble studded with rubies.
"Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked.
    Again, the seamstress replied, "No."

The Lord reached down again and came up with a leather thimble.

"Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked.
    The seamstress replied, "Yes."
The Lord was pleased with the woman's honesty and gave her all three thimbles to keep, and the seamstress went home happy.

Some years later, the seamstress was walking with her husband along the riverbank, and her husband fell into the river and disappeared under the water.

When she cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked her, "Why are you crying?'' "Oh Lord, my husband has fallen into the river!"

The Lord went down into the water and came up with George Clooney. "Is this your husband? The Lord asked.

"Yes," cried the seamstress. The Lord was furious. "You lied! That is an untruth!"

The seamstress replied, "Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding. You see, if I had said "no" to George Clooney, you would have come up with Brad Pitt.

Then if I said "no" to him, you would have come up with my husband.

Had I then said "yes," you would have given me all three. Lord, I'm not in the best of health and would not be able to take care of all three husbands, so THAT'S why I said "yes" to George Clooney.

And so the Lord let her keep him.

The moral of this story is:
Whenever a woman lies, it's for a good and honorable reason, and in the best interest of others. That's our story, and we're sticking to it.
