hey granny how are you feeling? xx

Like this character-emoticon-0027.gif to be totally honest.

Had 3 jumpers, 2 pairs of socks, slippers and dressing gown on over my pyjamas all day. OH took pity on me and let me put the heating on and made me a spicy curry. Even let me steal the tv for an hour, ON A SATURDAY, totally unheard of. :j:T:j :rotfl: We watched bridesmaids tonight, which was funny.

Now tucked up in bed with heated teddy and my favourite night-time drink at the moment Lems1p.

Hope you've had a good day

    Thanks Piq x

A quick post before I turn off the light to try to head off to the land of nod.

NSD today so doing better on my goal of 15 than I thought I would.

OH has promised to take me out for coffee and cake tomorrow, because I haven't been out of the house since Tuesday and need some different sights.

My DD has sent me a diet sheet, full of things to help me get better, she's a nutritionist :rotfl: not that you'd guess that by the size on me. In my defence though, she is only recently qualified and probably got into it after seeing all the foiled attempts at dieting my DM and I have gone through. She is good though and aced her exams PROUD MUMMY MOMENT

I don't over eat, I just under move and put on the weight following serious health issues in my early 30s. Since then, it doesn't matter how hard I try, diets never work. I only get results if I exercise more.

So, tomorrow will not be a NSD as I need to buy the shopping on her diet list to follow for a week. Nothing expensive, just lots of fresh ingredients that I don't have because I haven't been out.

Further to this today, using Groupon credit from my cancelled hair appointment earlier this/last month, so I consider NS, I booked 10 gym and a PT session(s) at a really swanky gym for £10. It's valid for 4 months but once activated has to be used within a month. I'm going to join as soon as I'm well, get some tips from the PT and then make the most of those 10 sessions, before I start my daily walks up again.

My OH and I are going to Northumbria in the summer for a week so I need to get fitter.

That's pretty much it for today. Hope you all have a very restful night's sleep and have a great day tomorrow.

Til Tomorrow, (oops rambled on for so long its today again)

Thanks for the well wishes. Been sneezing all day, other than that been pretty uneventful, so another NSD. Glad to hear you had a good time yesterday x

Please don't wear yourself out with all these extra shifts as you've got some busy weeks ahead of you.

I can't believe you'll be gone in 7 weeks - yes I said just SEVEN

Talk again soon when you are not busy working, selling or sleeping, (if you actually get any time to do that)

    Love Gx2 x

    Hi snotty granny :p

I'm never not working, selling or sleeping:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Actually its less than 7 weeks now - just 6 weeks come Thursday. Yes I am that desperate!

This must be the easiest I've ever heard you take it - a little bit of RnR - something like I'll be enjoying soon enough;).

Very proud of your daughter - dietetics is a very hard career to get into!

    Get better soon xx J

Still not feeling well so sadly had to cancel Granny day today but got to see DGD2 this morning as they called to collect 2 spare laptops that I was going to recondition and sell on fleabay. They can make better use of them and I know I wouldn't have got much for either.

Anyway, went shopping yesterday and spent just over £40 but then OH gave me £10 towards it. Bought lots of herbs, spices and sauce/oils which will last for ages so that's why it cost so much.

Should have started the healthy eating plan this morning with scramble eggs and baby spinach, but didn't. Just had hummus and cucumber and apple and made my warm chilli and mushroom salad for lunch. H/C/A was yummy

A lot of cooking today but then tomorrow's lunch will be LO from tonight's tea and a smoothie for breakfast.

Mainly just popping in right now to post the following message which some of you may have seen but I thought it was so funny, I couldn't resist.

Be back later for a further update, likely to be a NSD as not going out and don't need anything. Was going to get antibiotics for sinusitis but going to try to blast it with this food plan and see if that works instead.

A man and a friend are playing golf one day at their local golf course.

One of the guys is about to chip onto the green when he sees a long funeral procession on the road next to the course.

He stops in mid-swing, takes off his golf cap, closes his eyes, and bows down in prayer.

"Wow, that is the most thoughtful and touching thing I have ever seen. You truly are a kind man" says his friend.

The man then replies: "Yeah, well we were married 35 years."
