hi granny how are you feeling
Feeling much better this afternoon, thanks for asking. I wonder if its psychological or really to do with the food I've eaten today, or maybe being so rough yesterday was the turning point.
Started the day with lemon juice in boiled water. Didn't have breakfast because son woke me up and after I'd put the hoover over, they arrived and stayed for 2 hours. Probably not ideal to miss breakfast but made up for it since.
After they had gone I had onion hummus, cucumber sticks and apple pieces and a cup of ginger and lemon tea. This was very yummy.
Lunch was baby spinach, half an avocado, chilli, pepper, mushrooms and red onion, using the chopped avocado as dressing, never would have thought of that one! When I was eating this my nose was burning but it was very tasty. Since then, I've felt much better - strange but my DD did say it was anti-inflammatory and germ busting so who knows.
I think I'll be well enough to go to work tomorrow, even if I don't do my normal 10 hours. OH has just told me he's working a double shift so may try to get home by 4pm and make the most of having the house to myself.
He is so funny, his obsession with the kitchen is bizarre. I was in there preparing the ingredients for tonight's tea and he came in and started washing up. I told him to leave it as I was still cooking and he walked out in a huff. He went out for a 4 mile walk and came home, went straight into the kitchen and started moving my stuff around - annoying, yes but bizarre all the same. When I asked him what he was doing, he said "I need to eat too you know" LOL, he just cannot handle me being in the kitchen but then moans when I refuse to cook for him. I am, however, making tea for both of us tonight. This will be the 1st time I've made anything more adventurous than a pasta dish using SM bought sauce for months. All fresh ingredients, paid for by me, makes me feel pretty good - gosh I'm a sad Granny - :rotfl:
Forgot to say btw that when we went for coffee and cake yesterday, he agreed to buy cakes, (welshcakes - yummy), in the SM first and eat those in the C0st^ coffee shop. This meant instead of costing nearly £10, it came to just over £6 and we enjoyed the cakes so much more. I did try to persuade him to bring some of the WC home, pack of 6, but he enjoyed them so much, he ate 4 - LOL. I didn't mind though as they still cost so much less than the C0st^ ones would have. Felt a bit cheeky to be eating them in the shop though, but very MSE.
Anyway, off to the kitchen again now, whilst he is lying on the sofa snoring - was in work at 5am this morning, home at 2, 4 mile walk and now he's shattered.
Talk later - Gx2 x
PS hope you had a good flight xTargets

Well just heading off to bed with no lems1p for the 1st night in ages.
No longer feeling like carp and it's such a relief. I can honestly say I haven't felt that rough in ages.
Enjoyed my tea of sticky rice and yellow chicken and OH seemed to like it too. Perhaps this food plan will actually make me more confident and forceful in the kitchen.
Thank you to all for showing your concern over my poorly health this weekend. TBH I don't know what I would have done without MSE DFDs to keep me company. Even started reading a couple of new ones, so be warned Granny is likely to pop up where you least expect her
Had a NSD today, that's 9 already this month, so well on my way to hitting my target of 15. Planning another tomorrow, lunch and snack for work already prepared.
Having avocado on toast for breakfast, instead of smoothie as that has to be eaten 1st.
Anyway, hope you all have a good day tomorrow.
Talk soon, BFN (back to her mad old self) Gx2 xTargets

Hey Granny,
Are you sure its called yellow chicken?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Doesn't sound the most appetising even though I bet it tasted yummy! Might it have had a fancier name?
I shouldn't make fun, I'm going to have to make some rather funky combinations to clear the cupboards in just six weeks :eek::eek::eek:.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Hi Gx2, just popping in to say . As I said over on my diary, I subscribed to your diary yesterday but wanted to get to the end before introducing myself.
I'm finding it very entertaining. I particularly love all the stories about your DGC.

That's what my daughter named it because you use turmeric which turns the chicken and the rice when you mix it in yellow. It was very yummy. I think its her own recipe so probably doesn't have another name - :rotfl: though xTargets

Hi, not sure what to call you as BOF or BOX sounds a bit strange, but I love the name.Anyway, glad you like my posts. I write as I feel and sometimes the posts really do show my mad side. :rotfl:
I will have plenty to regale you with them because I love talking about them.
My DS and DDIL2B could not understand why as soon as they got DGD2 out of the car yesterday she started growling. She came in and said clear as a bell, first emitting a growl - "Upstairs?" and pointing to my OH sofa.
It made sense to them then and oh my was he pleased when he got home and I told him.
