Morning Granny, hope you are well today. I'm having to face reality and accept that my DFD is going to slip badly unless I get more pro-active, so I'm going to follow your example and start comping and surveying. I've signed up for Crowdology but was turned down for Valued Opinions. Which other survey sites do you find worthwhile?

Enjoy the coffee out with your friend today x

Morning Happy, yes I'm feeling better by the day, although this cold really is dragging on.

I haven't heard of Crowdology and don't really think any of the survey sites are very good tbh, I get screened out of most surveys. I even got thrown out of one the other day cos I'd lied, (I'd actually hit the 3 key instead of the 2 when answering how many people lived in my house at the start of the survey) so when I answered 2 at the end, it gave me a stern comment about the inconsistency of my answers and not being able to rely on them. It was a 25 mins survey to so was pretty gutting.

the sites I use are Swagbucks, Vivatic, Inboxpounds and survey network. I've so far got £10 on survey network but can't cash it in until I get £20. TBH once I have enough to cash them in I'm not going to do them any more. I'm happy to keep doing NSD instead and being as frugal as possible instead. If this means my DFD is 12 years away so be it.

Have to go for a minute and will be back later, DGD have just turned up.

Well what a nice surprise that was. DGD turned up to spend the day with Granny as mammy and daddy were going to a wedding fayre. This did mean I had to put my DF off until next week but she didn't mind, as she wasn't feeling very well anyway. Hope she didn't catch my virus over the phone the other day :D

They have gone home now and I am shattered but it was oh so much fun. DGD2 has started standing unsupported now but refuses to walk without the walker or holding hands/on. She won't be long though. We ate our lunch looking out at the garden and later looked at photos of my wedding. DGD2 identified OH and growled at his picture whenever she saw him. DGD1 thought my mum was me, which was funny. As we got married 15 years ago I could have been a bit offended but I could see that she looked more like me than herself as she has aged a lot over those years.

When OH came home we went shopping at T3sc0 because we had a spend £60 get £9 off voucher that was expiring today. Then OH took us for coffee. We bought reduced cookies for the girls and fruit drinks and welsh cakes for us in T, so only got coffee, which was bought using points, so cost nothing.

DGD1 was on fine form and really busy today, she is such a little chatter box and was really sad to go home, she thought she was staying.

DGD2 cried when I left their house - not that I want to see her cry but it is nice to be missed.

So NSD today after all, which is just as well as I didn't have one yesterday after all. I bought contact lenses, included in my budget and I purchased the beauty box I mentioned earlier this week, cost just under £12 and worth £40.

Tomorrow won't be a NSD as I couldn't get some of the things on my shopping list so going to go shopping again. Want to make Thai curry tomorrow but will be fairly LSD as not much needed.

Off for a bath now and wash my hair as I've spent a lot of today crawling around the floor with the girls and feel really grubby. I also want to defuzz myself and don't do this without first jumping in the bath/shower to open the pores.

Hope you have all had a good day. x

I haven't won anything major yet, just some skincare samples which can only really be added to a bigger present but I keep trying in hope I win something worthwhile.

Look forward to a catch up. x

Thank you L, had a lovely day with DGD, totally unexpected so all the nicer. Hope you had a good day too. Off for a bath and then I'll catch up on everyone's diaries as they tend to move fast with us all chatting all over the place.

  • How old is your DGD2? My DD2 is 15 months now and still refuses to walk! She stands and walks around furniture but as soon as she should walk she thinks about it, thinks better of it and goes to her knees lol

Glad you had a nice day x
