Hi, first to answer your questions, Oh has come back with me. I am back in work tomorrow
urgh.. but they are lovely people and I only work 2 days a week..
Now to the carp day you had yesterday. I absolutely agree with you re the tolerance in the public sector to bad managers. It should not be condoned but it is, as a blind eye is quite often turned to their style of managing. Fortunately I have only had one bad manager, but after a very public meltdown I decided to move offices and have been the better for it. I had a breakdown a few years ago and this B*itch was making me feel ill again. I dont know about you, but I find stress so much harder to cope with as I get older. The younger me would have reported her and kept on doing so, and told her what I thought of her.. The older me just wants peace and quiet hence the two day week.
I feel so sorry for you, but it has not happened yet, see how it goes, and the other big boss sounds like they will not put up with bullying behaviour. These people always come with a reputation and thats what makes me so mad.. If it it is known they are knobheads why are they not being put in their place.(((((hugs)))) for the bad day. x (sorry for the rant, but bullies are my pet hate, coz thats all they are)0 -
Just a quick post tonight because I'm feeling kind of glum.
Drove into work and someone had stolen my parking space.
Got told in a meeting that the boss from hell is going to be my boss in about 6 weeks time. He actually starts when I return from leave, oh joy aren't I going to be glad to go back to work
Drove home with car hiccuping through the entire 10 mile journey  It's been playing up for a while but seemed to have sorted itself out until today. I'm hoping it was just the fine misty drizzle that made it want to sulk and not something serious.
My dear father has welched on his offer to pay for my car tax this month, leaving me to find £170 that I hadn't bargained on needing. Thereby wiping my DS and DDIL2B wedding fund in one fell swoop
Got home to realise I'd driven off from work leaving my large briefcase of sensitive case work in the basement car park, unattended and accessible to the wrong people :oh carp:
Borrowed OH car to go back to work to rescue it, hoping big boss didn't find it 1st. Drove a mile and then "remembered" putting it in my boot. I never place it in the boot, always in the back seat. !!!!!!. Turned car around, drove home, rescued said case and walked into house feeling really stupid. OH made some witty comment, :lost my sense of humour at that point:
Went to cook my tea, only to discover OH had eaten my planned meal. Ended up eating his concoction which contained too much fat and starchy food but really couldn't be ars3d to cook anything else.
Now off to bed, hoping tomorrow is better. Not sure yet if going away. Client has until midday to confirm. I've got dentist first thing for a root canal filling, :oh joy, another good day to look forward to:
On a plus side had a NSD today.
BFN Gx2 x
Hope the rest of you have had a better day

Yes, that is exactly what he is. Current boss says unfortunately he enjoys finding people's faults to make himself look good. I can't do much about it though, other than record and report any incidents and as you say it hasn't happened yet. The rest of my team is lovely, as is big boss and none of the team are happy about the change. Sadly, he usually finds one person to find fault with until he wears them down and then moves on to the next. :mad:gargrave50 wrote: »This sounds like my regular kind of days:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Went to the dentist, car played up going and driving to shop but seemed ok on way home, so fingers crossed it was just sulking.
Dentist horrid, not the man, the place. :rotfl:
Over an hour's treatment with 4 screws and wires drilled into my jawbone. Pain killers all afternoon, once numbness wore off. Still aching now but not as bad.
Client didn't ring so not gone away, luckily as had to go to bed at 3.30pm as I couldn't keep my eyes open.
Offered to go into work tomorrow to cover office so colleagues can stay out drinking to see chap off on his last day. Going for lunch and a drink and will see favourite old boss tomorrow, which will be nice.
DDIL2B tripped on loose cobbles today and fell carrying DGD2. She banged her head on doorway and had to go to A&E as had lump size of an egg on her forehead.
Sleeping soundly now
Poor DDIL2B is besides herself with guilt and has bruised painful knees.
Not a NSD today as bought some kitchen things from Arg0s, blender and storage jars and tubs, but good deal at 50% for blender so happy with that.
Off to bed now as mouth is aching. Sleep well everyone and hope you have a good day tomorrow

Thank you my lovely friends, it is nice to see such caring messages.
My mouth is really painful and has made me realise how much I eat on the right side. I bit down on the crown earlier and it hurt so much it made my eyes water. My friends thought I was crying and were really concerned.
Ordered prawn curry as easiest meaty thing to eat and half way through the curry found a rather large chicken breast instead of prawns.
Now don't ask me how I didn't notice it before because I really do not know and felt a tad embarrassed but my friends laughed.
I got a free drink for my colleague out of it so that's ok. :money:
It was lovely but I had to cut it into bite size small chunks so it took me ages to eat.
Had the last of my carrot soup for tea tonight and it was still as nice as it was the first day.
Off to bed soon as I've taken a lot of painkillers this afternoon and feel really tired. A LSD today so pretty pleased with that.
Speak soon, hope you all had a good day. Lots of love Grannyx2 xTargets

Well today started in the same vein as the rest of the week.
Woke up at 2.30am in excruciating pain, must have been grinding teeth in the night as is my want at times. Took double ibuprofen, co-codamol, double strength oral gel and milky drink.
Finally drifted back to sleep, woke up at 7am to repeat the process.
Decided to work from home this morning as finishing half day to go for lunch with work colleague/friend to celebrate her qualifying and my assistance in her doing so. Lovely to know you are appreciated. :T
Logged onto work to sort out complex case that was heading my way and needing resolution today urgently. After a morning of ringing around, in between washing hair, dressing, making breakfast and putting on make-up, I finally got it resolved at 11.55am.
Leaving at 12 latest, should actually have met her at 12, so 15 minutes late arrived at restaurant.
Car decided I deserved the break and got me there with no hiccups. Mouth decided otherwise and decided to remind me of its presence. Got to restaurant to find basket of bread, jug of water and bottle of wine waiting for me. Ibuprofen and a glass of wine later and I was finally starting to relax and get over this horrid week. :j
A bottle of wine later and it was all forgotten.
Car left in car park and lift home from friend's lovely partner. Sadly I logged onto work to check there were no problems with the case, minor hiccup, sorted by admin, in my absence. Email to say thanks for his help, copied to his and my bosses. :T
Now relaxing on sofa with MSE DFD but think I'll be asleep before long. OH not impressed, growling in the corner -:rotfl:
Talk soon, hope you've had a good day.
