Happy holidays XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
Best win so far - holiday to Florida0 -
Thanks Lucky, I have to admit that the time away from the pressures of work, home and financial worries did me the world of good. :happyhear
We had a lovely frugalish break, with neither of us being particularly flush but with enough money for afternoon tea a couple of times. :coffee: I'm so glad I went shopping before we went as that really did help to keep the cost down. :money:
DM said mid week what a lovely relaxing time she was having and how much of a pleasure it was to be on hols with me.Just what I needed to hear tbh
We even managed 3 nsds and a lsd. :A
OH seemed pleased to see me when I got home, as did darling DGC :kisses:
Lots of smiles off the little man today, :starmod:plus I had him to myself for 10 mins
DGD2 was full of hugs, kisses and my love you Granny today :iloveyou:
DGD1 came out of school looking worried because she'd lost her coat but after reassuring her that we'd look for it and happily finding it, was full of thanks and smiles. :kisses3:
Back to work tomorrow, pity it has to happen. I'm still suffering from cold symptoms, scratchy throat, bit headachy but feeling so much happier
18 nsd was pretty good, especially with a holiday and some Christmas shopping done this month. :xmassmileDGC pretty much sorted, plus bits for DM, DMIL, DS, DDIL and DD achieved. Not much left to get now.
Hoping to have a lsm this month

Hello Granny, :hello:
Welcome back after what sounds like a lovely break with Mum!
Didn't you get a marvellous welcome from DGC? :kisses:debtfreewannabe321 wrote: »wouldn't it be great if money were free
..Why don't the folk developing GM crops work on this?
Most of us have grave reservations about eating GM food, but wouldn't it be wonderful if we could plant a bush which flowers tenners and fruits pound coins? :rotfl:0 -

I love the idea of this bush, what fun we could all have
I've managed 2 nsds so far but don't think tomorrow will be as I have some shopping to do
Work was hectic today with me trying to deal with clients unruly child whilst speaking to them. Mum, clearly had absolutely no control over him, it really was shocking. Who in their right mind brings a 4 year old to a 2 hour meeting with no toys or snacks. Poor child and poor Granny's nerves. Had a nice moment when they asked if I had children and I said DGC. The shock they expressed was so flattering
off to bed now as I'm extremely tired

How rude of the woman to bring a small child to a long adult meeting; poor child to have a Mum who thinks so little of his welfare!
..Hope you're sleeping soundly now, Granny.0 -
Thanks Robin, I slept soundly that night once I got the poor child out of my mind.
The worst thing was she didn't even need to be there, had attended a previous similar meeting and knew just how unruly a bored child could get. Her lack of parenting skills really was shocking tbh.
The last 2 days have been pretty full on and neither has been a nsd but with planned toiletries spending yesterday and happy hair day today, I knew they'd be sds.
I love my hair, not sure if OH does, (he asked why I'd gone lighter), but I'm really happy with it. Especially as it cost half the normal price with a 30% off voucher for next time.
Nothing planned for this weekend as OH is working so I'm just going to enjoy the peace and quiet. I'm away from Thursday next week so need to get some washing, ironing etc done.
hope you all have a good weekend
