Thanks Missrlr
Blinking computer lost my post again
Anyway, my weekend is passing by with a flurry of inactivity. OH worked all day yesterday and is doing the same today.
Yesterday was nsd #9, mainly because I hardly made it out of bed, let alone out to spend. Haven't quite decided about today yet. This is not because I'm being lazy but because as well as the UTI I now have a stinking cold, complete with extremely painful sinuses. I really am a wreck at the moment and need to get my health in order.
It's Granny Day tomorrow
Then just 4 days of HIM before a week off with DM
Hope everyone's weekends are going well

Today, give a stranger one of your smiles. It might be the only sunshine he sees all day.

Oh dear Granny, you do sound run-down ((hugs)).
What self-help measures are you taking?
Hope you're well enough for Granny Day tomorrow..0 -
Thanks both
Hot blackcurrant with honey and paracetamol, plus plenty of fluids seems to be the order of the day, Coupled with lots of rest.
Tomorrow I'm going to get the ingredients for gazpacho, that always seems to help

Sounds good. Could you swap blackcurrant for cranberry juice? And get extra lemons when you're shopping for gazpacho (quite agree with you about the fortifying properties of that - must whizz up another batch m'self).
Try hot honey and lemon with cranberry juice.0 -
Oh Granny
If you tolerate it bicarbonate in water utterly completely and totally vile but does work

Thanks for the tips my dear friends. First problem has now disappeared, whilst cold with sinusitis rages on. I didn't end up going shopping after all, I just felt too rough, so made do with store cupboard ingredients and took it easy over the weekend.
Granny day was lovely but DS had to come to collect them as I felt so unwell. Asked OH to pick DGD1 up from school but refused because he was tired. Love how he gets to play GP without putting in any real effort.
Anyway last 3 days have been nsds, which makes 12 this month so far. Just 3 more days of work, only 1 involving face to face contact with HIM and then I'm off for a week
off to bed now as I'm so tired

Thanks Bizzle, I'm trying what I can to get my health in order but I seem to be losing that battle at the mo.
So yesterday I wrote a lengthy post of trivia and my bl00dy computer lost it. Sadly, and probably lucky for you, I couldn't be ars3d to rewrite it
I am so glad its Friday tomorrow, I'm feeling much better but I'm so tired. I've overdone things in work today and am suffering the effects tonight. HIS fault really but I could have said NO
Nsds # 13 & 14, so doing well this month. One more day to go and then away with DM for week.
booked hair appointment via group0n voucher for week after next. Also got hospital appointment then, should find out what op and when hopefully. May be able to get health back on track. Immune system is clearly shot to h3ck this year.
That's about all for now, hope all is well with any readers

Well I survived the week and now its holiday time.
Yesterday was nsd#15, and that is probably it for this month, although I may make a couple more days. Today most certainly won't be as I'm going shopping to cut the cost a bit.
Hope you all have a good weekend

An ardent traveler named Joan spent most of her vacation sunbathing on the roof of her hotel. She wore a swimsuit the first day, but on the second, she decided that no one could see her way up there, and she slipped out of it for an overall tan. She'd hardly started when she heard someone running up the stairs; Joan was lying on her stomach, so she just pulled a towel over her rear.
"Excuse me, miss," said the flustered hotel manager, out of breath from dashing up the stairs. "The hotel doesn't mind you sunbathing on the roof but we would very much appreciate you wearing a bathing suit as you did yesterday."
"What difference does it make," Joan asked rather calmly. "No one can see me up here, and besides, I'm covered with a towel."
"Not exactly," said the manager. "You're lying on the dining room skylight."Targets
