What's the betting OH doesn't even notice that you've made less effort for his birthday than in previous years?

My thoughts exactly. You will either feel guilty that you haven't done enough, or triumphant that you haven't done enough, and Grandad won't even bat and eyelid :rotfl:. Xx

Back to work with a bump today, it really was not my idea of fun at all. Not because anything bad happened, I just didn't want to be there.

antibiotics worked a treat and didn't hamper holiday enjoyment at all

holiday was A-maze-ing, I don't think I've ever had such a lazy enjoyable one in my life. 1st 4 days were busy sight seeing, boat trip, cable car, museums etc. Next 7 were lying in the sun roasting myself in the glorious sunshine. A bit different to our Newcastle floods last year :D

DGDs were so happy to see me back, I was smothered in cuddles and kisses. DGS is doing so well and is so gorgeous. I had my 1st proper smile and story off him on Monday. A lovely end to my hols

M&5 are being a bit stroppy as my deal has come to an end. They wrote whilst we were away, asking me to ring them. I wrote back when we got home but in the meantime they rang 3 times on Sat. I refused to answer their security questions each time so in the end they hung up saying they would write instead. Duh, isn't that what I asked them to do?

really need to get on with some debt busting now we're home. Need to look into fleabaying I think.

anyway, that's all for now. Hope all is well with any readers

    Thank you dear friends,

I seem to have lost the enthusiasm to write in my diary lately and last night realised why. I enjoy posting pictures with upbeat messages and cannot do this from my tablet phone.

So today I have decided to use the laptop again.

In readiness I decided to do a debt update and I have had a lovely surprise. :D My debt has dropped below £50k, I am so pleased, especially as it was one of my targets for the end of the year. I know I still have a long way to go but at least my debt is moving in the right direction.

    :j :j

I think I'm going to go back to counting nsd's too as over the last couple of months I have spent the odd £1 or £2 most days, which over a week is £7+ of unnecessary spends which could be paid off my debt instead. :)

Work has been very busy over the last 2 weeks and I'm finding it hard since getting back from holidays. OH has booked a week away for us in Oct as he is desperate to have something to look forward to, as he too is finding work hard currently. He's done 6 O/T shifts to pay for it, so its not eating into our budget. His reckoning is that is why he does O/T.

I've also agreed to go away with DM, its local to me and so won't cost much in petrol and won't cost much food wise as it's in a cottage with a full kitchen. I'm looking forward to going too, (must be hating work more than usual lately). I'm thinking of taking DGDs down for one night as a treat too as its a sleep 6.

DGD1 goes back to school on Monday, gosh that has come around quickly. DGD2 spends a lot of her time telling anyone who will listen that she is going to school soon too. Love her, she has another year to go yet. DGS is growing so quickly, he's quite hard to hold for any length of time. I can't believe he is >2mths old already. His smiles are to die for.

M&5 never wrote the letter they [STRIKE]threatened[/STRIKE] promised. I therefore do not know if they are still prepared to accept my reduced payments but am continuing to pay the SO until they say so. MBN^ DC, (L!nk) have also failed to confirm whether they are prepared to continue the agreement, so I'm doing the same with them. After all, they just cannot have any more as I don't have any spare to give them. (although my wages went up by a grand total of £30 a month this month, still every little bit helps. I'm going to put it into a f&f pot and try to build up enough to pay my smallest debt off in full by the end of the year)

Anyway, that's it for now. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
