I know what you mean about the NSDs. I don't count them up either, if you have no money you can't spend! I'm looking on it as building a very good habit for later, that is the not spending not the not having any money!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

On Friday evening OH locked me out of the house again. He thought it was funny and could not see why I was upset. Tried to explain that its the lack of thought about me but he didn't get it. Was tempted to do it back to him yesterday but [STRIKE]luckily[/STRIKE]sadly I'm not that immature.
Yesterday was spent tidying my bedroom, laying in the sun and then ironing my clothes in an attempt to keep my bedroom tidy
Today will be spent, visiting DGS for a cuddle before running off with his sisters for the day. My favourite activity of the week
Tomorrow I'm off to see DM as I have a meeting near her on Tues morning. Didn't book my train tickets on Friday and now they've gone up by £10 which is really annoying. Never mind I'm not paying for them, still annoying though
Hope all is going well with any readers and you are enjoying the warm weather

Gosh, how annoying! Time for a little self-defence, maybe? ..Can you stash a key somewhere safe? (DS4 kept one tucked in between a fence-post and the wall as he was prone to forgetting his door-key. It meant reaching underneath the gate to retrieve it, but was safe from intruders).

I had a key, the problem was he'd left his keys in the other side of the door so I couldn't get in. When I'm in the house and he isn't I always ensure the keys are removed so he can get in. It sounds petty but its yet another sign that sadly he just does not consider me when doing anything.
I cannot operate the back gate as the latch is too far down for me to open it from the wrong side. He was only out the back garden at the time but when I got home from work, hot and bothered from work and weather, I couldn't get in. It was only 5 minutes, ( I didn't know he was out the back) as he heard me rattling the gate but laughed in my face when I said he'd locked me out. I also don't know why it took him 5 minutes to respond to the rattle, I'd given up and thought he must have gone out for a walk. Still it's forgotten about now, just about.
I had the most lovely day with my 3 favourite people today, well a quick cuddle (when I picked the 2 girls up and dropped them off) from number 3 and a lovely day with the 2 DGDs.
I've decided to drive to DMs tomorrow as at least that way I can avoid hot trains and crowds. I won't make any money on the trip but it won't cost me anything either, it also means OH doesn't have to run me into town and pick me up the following day so I'm not stressing about him being hot and bothered in the traffic.

Good morning
Grrr to OH locking you out, hope he doesnt do it again. Glad the meds are working and you are feeling more like you.
Saw your comment about not making much progress on the debt front, I find that get going really well at the start and then it starts to become a chore and drags you down, I get that feeling all the time, keep fighting we are all here to support you

..Ah, thanks for the further explanation, Granny - think I understand now...And agree that it's completely unacceptable for OH to lock you out like that - after the accidental first time.
As he still thinks it's funny after locking you out more than once, I'd be looking at changing the lock; putting in a Ya!e which would prevent the problem. That may mean replacing the door - his bill as he's responsible for the dispute.
W!ckes have some very nice wooden doors on offer atm...I had the most lovely day with my 3 favourite people today, well a quick cuddle (when I picked the 2 girls up and dropped them off) from number 3 and a lovely day with the 2 DGDs.
Great!I've decided to drive to DMs tomorrow as at least that way I can avoid hot trains and crowds.
..Sounds like a good idea. Give you a break and keep you self-reliant while travelling which is always best.
Hope the traffic isn't too bad..0 -
Hi granny! *waves*
Just reading through your posts and I was about to suggest the same thing as RobinIn fact I once did this to DH as we'd had a huge barney and i'd locked him out. The next time he got in and i'd gone out he locked me out!!! We were supposedly friends at this point
cheeky so and so! So the next row we had (yes they feature quite a bit in our relationship!) I waited for him to go to work and changed the lock
luckily I know how to do this myself thanks to an uncle who is a locksmith so it cost me less than a tenner. OMG his face was a picture. He never locked me out again
Anyway I hope you are having a good day today. Sounds like grandchildren are the magic cure! xxMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
