Hi Granny - I love the pics you post - the one above is fab but my very fav one is the toddler handing you a ringing mobile phone:rotfl::rotfl:
Lovely that you had your grandchildren to visit yesterday; don't you find that they absolutely lift your spirits like nothing else can? I am so fed up today and can't seem to shake this mood off which is very unusual for me. I know that if the weather hadn't been so bad I would have popped over to see mine tonight and 15 mins in their company would have made me so happy. Yours sound a bit older than mine, DGD is 18 months and DGS a baby. When I saw DGD on Saturday she came running towards me with her little arms outstretched (I thought my heart would burst with love) shouting 'Pity, Pity (pretty - she used to say it about the Christmas tree), I was over the moon and picked her up at which point she grabbed my blingy necklace, nearly strangling me in the process and said 'Pity':rotfl:
I am so pleased that your boss was sympathetic and has proved to be so supportive, it must have made you feel very valued, which is absolutely as it should be, I can tell by reading your posts that you are extremely diligent.
I hope you're feeling better now, however remember to take things slowly and don't rush back to work until you are good and ready.
Take care

Dear Dot, yes I have to agree they have that special way of making the world rosy don't they. My 2 are 6 and 20 months and they are so completely different but equally fantastic.
Since the day DGD1 was born I realised what I was put on this planet for and that was to be a Granny, it is the most special role in the whole wild world.
As you are so special and as you are feeling so glum, I thought I would share some very special, until now secret, and very good news with you today. My user name come June should actually be Grannyx3 as we are expecting a wonderful little boy to join our merry little clan. I cannot wait to meet him and am whiling away my hours knitting a wardrobe for him.
DGD1 is besides herself with glee at the thought and DGD2 reckons the baby is in her tummy. She loves babas as she calls them so loves talking about him.
I am feeling brighter today and managed 4 hours home working in 2 x 2 hour stints. I'm hoping to do the same tomorrow but I'm very tired now so will be off to bed soon. I am pacing myself as my whole life was affected by my being so ill and working too hard is definitely not worth risking a relapse. Luckily with just me and OH to take care of I'm in a fortunate position to take it easy if/when I need to.
In other news, my car passed its MOT with just 1 tyre needed so came to under £100, I'd planned £200 so am pretty pleased. The front brakes and 2 other tyres need changing at some point but may last until at least the winter service, if not next year. As this was a budget spend today is classed as a nsd so further cause for celebrations.
OH was pleasant again today, even offering to walk the half mile to get my car rather than dragging me out in the appalling weather. I declined, which I know he appreciated really. I went with him but drove his car back so I didn't have to get out of the car or deal with the garage, who are very nice but very blokey.

OH Wow, many many congratulations, how absolutely lovely, I am so pleased for you, and do you know what? It HAS cheered me up! Just the thought of a new little person joining our extended mse family, you must be so excited,
I have taken your advice and had a night off from working out, however I am bored, can't wait for the new raft of dramas to start on telly, I can't abide these reality shows and naff comedies that are just not funny.
So thank you again for sharing your wonderful news

Thanks Dot I'm so glad my news had the desired effect.
Lucky I love little boys and the thought of a mini me of DS just fills my heart with extra special happiness. I look at what an amazing job DS does of looking after his beautiful family and remember what a cute little boy he was and know the world is just a better place with these darling children in it.
