Dear Mrs PG I really hope that DD got through her day ok as this bug really is awful and completely wipes all your energy. I am going back to work tomorrow but think it may be very short lived and I will probably be home before I know it. This is a tactic as if I was off another week, HE would be funny, whereas by trying to go back and showing I cannot, HE will accept it.

Dear Dot, thank you so much for your lovely message and I really do not think you are out of line at all. If I didn't want opinions, I wouldn't post my feelings. I'm very well aware that I probably do things that annoy him, after all I'm human and have never professed to be perfect. However, everyone who knows us both is surprised that I put up with his awful behaviour sometimes. Nearly 2 years ago we came very close to splitting up, I even looked into legal separations, but he promised to try harder and begged me not to leave. This worked for about 6 months but I have noticed over the last year that his behaviour has slipped back to general nastiness again and this needs to be addressed.

I have every intention of letting him know how his conduct is affecting both me and him and how close he is to becoming a lonely old man with no-one to disturb his sport on the weekends and no-one to care when he wants someone to talk to. However at the moment I really am not well enough to cope with this properly so am biding my time. I'm also using this diary as a record so that I can read some of the key bits out to him when I'm up to it.

thank you so much for your kind words of support, it really does mean a lot.

    An update on my day:

Doctor - do you think the antibiotics worked?
Me - well I'm still coughing a lot but its clear.
Doctor - but you still feel unwell?
Me - yes and I think my blood pressure is raised, I feel very wobbly inside.
Doctor - no your BP is ok, but you are very tense, your heart rate is quite high. Do you think you need more antibiotics?
Me - I don't know, you are the doctor!!!!
Doctor - well I think you probably do - here is a repeat of last week's script.
Me - I'm due to go back to work tomorrow, I work 9.5hrs days and don't think I'm capable.
Doctor - oh no, I think you should take another week off.
Me - OK, is it possible to also have a fit note for reduced hours for next week so I can return to work on a phased return.
Doctor - yes, that sounds a good idea to me.

So you would think I was off this week and then reduced hours next week from the above conversation wouldn't you. Well I'm not because instead of a sick note for a week and then phased return, he has gone straight into the phased return fit note. I tried to question him but he said no this is correct, it means off this week, phased return next.

I read it out to HIM over the phone and HE suggested I go in tomorrow and see how I get on. I have to be honest, I have no intention of working this week, so will go in, show I'm still poorly and have the rest of the week off. I will then have to see the doctor again to get a reduced hours fit note for next week, which is a real pain in the ars3.

  • Hi Granny - just having a breather between 10 minute workouts - can't face belly dancing today as my belly hurts too much, so I have done some ballet - I have pleayed (how the hell do you spell that), curtseyed and generally put my legs into various tortuous positions. I think I may become the next Darcy Bussel - in fact I may audition as a judge on the next Strictly.

You have answered so many questions that I was going to put to you, God, I can't believe how mad I am with him - I am even madder than I was with Mr Dot when he was being a pr@t.

I will be back soon with more words of wisdom, my love. Just so you know that you are not on your own, and whatever the future may hold you will always have us in your corner.

    next update:

T3sc0 Credit Card and H^lif^x bank

As I reported before my bank paid my SO to TCC in Dec but TCC state they did not receive the payment. They tried to say it was my error but I don't understand how if it was, they managed to get all the SO payments before Dec and more importantly the Jan 2013 one. TCC told me to query it with my bank.

So today, after the doctor's I went to the bank to raise this query.

Person 1 - behind the counter - no the payment has left your bank and not been returned so they have had it.

Me - I know that but they are saying they haven't so I need it tracked.

    Person 1 - I'll refer you to person 2

Person 2 - We will have to ring our head office, oh I don't know my log in details, I'll ring online banking instead. Can you explain the problem to them.

Me - details given again to online banking.

Online banking - no the payment definitely left your account and has not been returned so they have had it.

Me - I know, can you track it for me so I can prove it to them?

Online banking - I need to speak to head office to do that.

Me - under my breath well do it then!!!!

Online banking - they have confirmed that the same details were used in Nov, Dec and Jan 13 so if they have had the other 2 they have had the Dec payment.

Me - well they are saying they didn't so what can I do now?

Online banking - I can recall the SO.

    Me - yes please

Online banking - Oh no, I can't do that as the payment details were correct. You will have to go back to them and tell them they have had it.

Me - well can't you send me evidence so I can forward it to them?

Online banking - ask the customer service rep in the bank for that, they can do it today.

    Me - ok

Person 2 - did that work?

me - no, you need to give me evidence of the payments in Nov, Dec and Jan to show all 3 were paid using same sort code, account and reference numbers so I can send it to TCC.

Person 2 - oh I don't know how to do that

Me - you look in historical transactions apparently.

Person 2 - ok, lets look. No, I can't see how to do it but I can print out your statement to show the payment leaving and not returning to your account.

Me - I don't want to send them my full bank statement, they are not entitled to that information.

Person 2 - well I don't know what else to do.

Me - can't you just see TCC transactions, because I can when I log on.

    Person 2 - I don't know how

Me - show stupid bank person how to use her own computer system, which still doesn't really solve the problem

Person 3 - what seems to be the problem

Me and person 2 - explain all over again.

Person 3 - no we don't have that information

Me - well online banking stated you do

Person 3 - well you will have to ring online banking again and ask them how we retrieve it.

Me - ok, I'll do it from home as I'm not feeling well today and have been here for an hour now.

Person 3 - you can do it here.

    Me - {under breath} !!!!!! are you really not listening {out loud}
as I said I don't feel well so will have to leave it for now.

Person 3 - walks away tutting.

Person 2 - I'll ring them and ask them how I retrieve the information. Oh, I know I'll ring our procedures department and ask them.

PD - put in a tracing request

Me under breath, !!!!!!, DOH, isn't that what I asked for an hour ago?!?!

Person 2 - oh, I don't know how to detail this. OK, SO set up using wrong details

Me - !!!!!!, NO NOT THE WRONG DETAILS. SO set up using their old details, payments received up to and including Nov 12 and again in Jan 13 using those details. However, payment for Dec 12 not received, despite no changes made to SO info. SO has now been amended to their new details so we cannot see old SO details and need the payment tracked.

Person 2 - OK, I've done that for you. They may get in touch for more info but will track the payment for you without you having to contact TCC again.

ME - in my headFGS, THAT WAS SO BL00DY DIFFICULT

As you can probably tell I am a tad annoyed at the whole scenario and wonder exactly who trained these muppets.

Dear Dot, It's Plie but not sure about plied, doesn't look quite right does it. You have had me giggling at the thought, I cannot wait to get well enough to exercise again. I love Penguin slide on my W!! Fit and the football header game, but often get smacked in the face by boots that I'm supposed to be avoiding.

Thanks for the anger re OH but please watch the BP, us Granny's need to take good care of ourselves.

    Look forward to speaking later.

BTW your comments re microwave and wok really struck a cord. My DM left my DF just before their 50th wedding anniversary. The reason, he had made her so mad, she'd thrown a cast iron sewing machine table, complete with marble top down the stairs at him. It hurt him badly but she wished it had k!lled him. She was so upset at her feelings and so worried that he would push her to take further action she left and never went back. They are both so much happier now, although he often complains about her leaving and doesn't understand why, saying she'd clearly planned it for years.

  • OH Granny, Grumpy Grandad, stoopid Dr, HIM and single brain celled bank staff all in 24 hours. No wonder you are feeling carp!

I hope tomorrow goes as well as it can, make sure though that it doesn't go down as 2 separate period of sickness if you go in and go off ill again!

And give HIM as many germs as possible :rotfl: Xx

Thanks Lucky because the fit note says "You may benefit from a phased return", it will count as one period, as long as I don't do a full day tomorrow, which tbh unless a miracle occurs is in no danger of happening.

I will breathe over HIM as much as possible so that my colleagues benefit from HIM being off as well. HE was very nice on the phone today mind you, just insistent that I give it a go.

    Hi Granny

Yes, breathe all over HIM, and sneeze, and cough. Oh, and DON'T put on any make up.

If you'd gone to the Doctor's after the bank your BP would have been off the scale! Pah at bank dimwits without the nous to ring "Procedures" at the beginning.

    More hugs for you x

:rotfl: Satchmo, will be sure to send me home with no make-up as will look like d3ath. Will try very hard to give HIM my germs. Oh dear, I'm not usually so nasty, trying to say its for the greater good of my colleagues. :rotfl:

Anyway, despite having an appalling day, it was also a nsd.

Off to bed now as have to go to the place that makes Missrlr and I sad tomorrow. Not for long hopefully though.

Sometimes the sad thing is granny we dont realise what we do have until we either are in jeopardy of losing it or lost it... Let us hope he remembers how he felt when you nearly split up ... Your comment of the Lonely Old man He Will Become, is very prophetic ....
