Plenty of excellent advice for you granny, best you take it!
It's a shame that the bug has hung around for so long, it's obviously a tenacious one, definitely not worth arguing with.
Same goes for you missrir, perhaps it's time to put aside your huge lists and take it easy for a spell.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Honest opinion Granny I think your o/h absolutely adores you just dosent show you enough...I think he is terrified of losing you... When the chips are down he seems to come through, just a shame he does not treat you like you deserve to be treated every day... My o/h did this to me and I to him nearly split us up, took a very !!!!!! time to realise how much we needed each other..... now we are joined at the hip... still argue coz he is after all a man:rotfl:0

Poor Missrlr, I hope you feel better today and have stayed home from the place that makes us grumpy x
Thanks L, Piq and NL, I'm feeling ok this morning but then again I haven't tried to do anything yet.
Bast, that is the sad thing. I know he cares really but he is just so mean sometimes. I really don't know why he needs to behave the way he does at times. We'd have a much better life if he spoke to me the way I speak to him. Sadly he often makes me feel like he doesn't like me very much. He often comes home from work laughing because the guy he works with has told him off for his grumpiness and he thinks its funny that he has told him the same as I do often. I try to let him know that it isn't amusing or good behaviour, without turning it into a nag fest, but sadly it runs through his head like a fast speed train. He does try but OMG is he trying at times.
After yesterday's funny turn he was very concerned. I went upstairs for some peace while he watched the rugby etc. I went downstairs at 6pm for tea, wearing my dressing gown. Feeling a bit overheated and faint I looked through the washing to see if I had a top to wear, without having to go back upstairs for one. He barked "What are you doing, that is my stuff" I explained that I was hot and needed a top and grabbed one of his. OMG, if I did, if looks could kill, you'd swear I was going to mop the floor with it. In the end I went back upstairs for one while he sorted out his food.
In other news the pizza was lovely and we have enough left over for today. Plus I made a whole 30p through t0pc^shb^ck :rotfl:
I've lost count of my nsd but think Thurs, Fri and Sat were so have counted them as such. Yesterday wasn't because I made an extra payment to my target card and bought myself a magazine.
I'm going to the doctor at noon, couldn't fit me in any earlier, so hopefully he will sign me fit for work with modifications. Short days and home working if possible. Not having DGDs after all as docs overlaps time DS needs me to watch them.
I haven't lost any weight this week but haven't put any on either which considering I've been eating carp and not moving much is pretty good. Going to try to eat healthier this week, well once the pizza is gone
Hope you are all ok and the Monday blues aren't too bad.

Granny,
You still sound so very poorly. I really hope the doctors went well. It sounds to me as though you shouldn't be considering work at all, not even half days.
This bug is nasty, DD2 has gone back to school today but she still looks awful and keeps coming over funny, I keep expecting a call to collect her any minute.
I dont think you should worry about losing weight at the moment, just eat and enjoy that pizza . The diet can wait until you are feeling stronger xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Just reading though your post re the way that Grandad speaks to you has got my mad up again. You say that he TRIES to treat you nicely?! Well he's not trying very bl00dy hard is he? I speak from experience. I too went though something very similar a few years ago with Mr Dot, and again quite recently. Whilst I prevented myself from throwing the microwave at him the first time (after I had endured his unreasonable behaviour for months nay years) and hitting him with the wok the second time, I managed to calmly explain to him that I hoped that his speaking to me in this way made him happy, as it made me very unhappy indeed, and if he continued in this manner he would find himself with no one at all to persecute at home - and I meant it. More recently, well, its a work in progress.
In dealing with this once and for all you must accept that there may be things that YOU do that p1ss him off (just as I did) and both of you modify your behaviour accordingly, however it CAN be done.
I feel your unhappiness, I really do. I know that you defend him, and I know that he is better than your ex, but he is not that good, not if his selfish actions cause you to feel so uncherished.
Sorry my love if I speak out of turn, but I would like to think that someone would do the same for me if I came on here and poured my heart out.
If you would like some strategies for dealing with it, give us a shout. If you feel that you can't change his behaviour towards you, there are other coping strategies that I have in my magic problem solving box which we look at together.
Chin up, Petal, together we can change your life.
Dot
