Dear Granny just checking in to see how you are feeling x

Dear NL I am actually feeling about 95% now I'm pleased to say. It's been a long haul and as I said last week I cannot remember feeling this rough for ages if ever. At one point I didn't think I was ever going to feel better, which I know sounds silly now but at the time I was soooo poorly. I actually made our tea yesterday with enough left over for OH to take to work today.

I can definitely go back to work next week, luckily maximum of 2 days in the office but may manage to swing just 1 on Tuesday and then work from home the following 3 days. I will have some pretty urgent things to catch up on but that's just one of those things I suppose. Hopefully that horrid meeting will have been conducted this week in my absence so I don't have to do it on my 1st day back. If it was HIM that phoned yesterday, HE hasn't rung back so it couldn't have been important.

OH is working a double shift today so I have the house to myself and can laze around without feeling bad.

I had a nsd yesterday and should have had one today but I just bought a chocolate gift basket for OH with a discount voucher so that's spoilt that nsd.

I've been asked to do a review for B3^uty B1bl3. It'll cost me £30 for p&p but last time I did one I ended up with £250 worth of cosmetics to trial. The reviews didn't take that long either. Still trying to decide whether to do it or not. I even managed to gift 2 of the items to DM and DD last time after I'd given them both a quick trial. Still a bit undecided though and going to wait until I get my MOT done as if that needs anything major I will be skint until pay day on 28 Feb.

Been feeling incredibly Grumpy since I last posted. Started when OH came home early in a bad mood because his o/t shift was cancelled. I hadn't done the washing up and was sitting on the sofa knitting. OH glowered at me as though I was committing the biggest sin of all. Things didn't improve much when I ate the last piece of cake, despite the fact that he'd had curry, pasta and chips for tea when I only had toast. He then proceeded to choose what we watched on tv while snoozing on the sofa and when awake channel surfed through the football. As I'd anticipated a nice quiet evening watching my programs I was not impressed.

Yesterday seemed to continue in pretty much the same way, with OH arriving home cross again because he'd called at Mr T on the way home and their fridges had broken. He couldn't get everything he wanted so was ratty and took it out on me.

He's working on for 4hrs today so some peace and I'm about to make a big cottage pie to feed us over the weekend.

In other news, yesterday was a nsd and hopefully today will be too.

    May be back later

  • Oh Granny, what to say ?

You are always full of words of wisdom for us all, but I cant find the right words for you.
Your evening sounds rubbish and I think you have every right to feel fed up and grumpy. I am grumpy too as you know but for ridiculous reasons really. You on the other hand have every right in my opinion to be hopping mad. You have been so poorly recently and still need sometime to relax and recover.

I really hope you enjoy sometime to yourself today .

Hope to see you back later.

Sending you big PG Hugs xxxxx

Hmmmm, with regards to OH and the knitting. Just remember the ladies during the French revolution who knitted at the guillotine....

Your OH should appreciate you more, he's darn lucky to have you. He should be taking care of you, you've been unwell. If I could wave a magic wand at him he'd even cast off for you - humpf!

Thank you my dear friends I don't know what I would do without your support, my avatar is definitely correct x Mr B thank you so much for that hug. I think maybe OH is still feeling under the weather as he was still grumpy yesterday, though not particularly with me.

We went for coffee and having moaned that I was running out of things to wear that will hide the rash I developed whilst unwell, he offered to buy me a top for Valentine's day. The label said it was £19 so he gave me £20. When I went to pay for it, it was down to £15. I gave him his change but he gave it back so I'm £5 up on the deal, result, and I have a nice new top to wear.

So I ended up having a nsd yesterday and think today may prove to be one too.

Debt news: one of my predators wants to do a review as the year is up. They want me to ring them but I'm going to write and send them an updated soa, fingers crossed that works as I can't afford to increase my offer.

Hope you are all having a good weekend, I'm only awake early because I knocked a glass of water all over my bedside table. It travelled everywhere, not what you want on a Sunday morning
