Thank you my dears, I am definitely well on the road to recovery now, thank goodness. I honestly cannot remember the last time I felt this poorly. I love my DGDs to bits but really could have done without their germs that's for sure. Looking forward to seeing them for a couple of hours on Monday, they are going to get lots and lots of very big Granny hugs.
OH isn't working tomorrow now so we are going out for coffee. It'll be the first time I've ventured out of the house in 2 weeks, well except for the quick trip to the doctor's on Monday.
Going to get OH to buy me some multi-vits cos I think I need to build my strength up now. Actually ate 3 times today, all small meals but again 1st time in 2 weeks. Felt stuffed after very small tea of 2 sausages, mash and beans.
No mse or other news to report so here's a little cutie instead
A Granny was telling her little granddaughter what her own childhood was like. "We used to swim in the river. I had a swing made from a tire; it hung from a tree in our front yard. We rode our bikes everyday. We picked blackberries in the woods."
The little girl was wide-eyed, taking this all in. At last she said, "I sure wish I'd gotten to know you sooner!"
Night all

Thanks all
Our trip out went pretty much as I suspected. We went to Mr T first and purchased a few bits. I put multi-vits with probiotics into the trolley, (DD suggestion) but asked for them to be removed when they rang up at £8  I thought they were £3 but that was a boost vitamin supplement to take with other supplements.
Then after coffee I dragged OH into B00ts and looked at their probiotics range, only to find most of theirs were more expensive again. OH came over to see what I was looking at and asked what they were for. I explained that DD had recommended them and told me to get the best I could afford. Grumbling that I couldn't really afford any OH gave me £10 towards the purchase of a pack costing £12. These were just probiotics so better quality than the ones I'd found in Mr T. Pity was they were on 3 for 2 offer but I just could not justify spending £24 on supplements for me. Silly thing is if it was for anyone else I probably would have got them.
Anyway although DD knows about my debt crisis I don't think she realises how expensive things like that are over here. She also recommended tea tree oil and olive leaf extract supplements. Well I've googled both of those and they cost about the same again so I'm sorry there is no way I am buying either. Will just have to get better the old fashioned way.
I was exhausted by the time we got home, having only been out for 2 hours and went for a lie down whilst OH watched the rugby. I didn't sleep very well last night but didn't cough as much either so am on the road to recovery. I'm definitely going to have the flu jab next winter though.
So not a nsd today again but a lsd. OH has suggested we go out for some fresh air again tomorrow for a short while and then I've got to go to the doctor's on Monday morning to be signed as fit for work and then having DGD2 in the afternoon. Will also pick DGD1 up from school but may ask OH to come with me to help.
Back to work on Tuesday but may do short hours next week to get back into the swing of things. Got a meeting on Tues morning which I could really do without but doubt anyone else will offer to step in as the client isn't very pleasant. Have to have a meeting with HIM to discuss being off and whether there are any work related issues, ha, perhaps I'll tell HIM again what working for HIM is like :rotfl:
Anyway off to find something light to eat, hope your Saturday is going well

At least OH paid for the vitamin, most of them anyway. It means you will build your health up that little bit quicker. I'm glad you're on the road to recovery now. There's nothing wrong with having a lie-down when you need one. Maybe a glass of wine would help with the recovery?Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
