Granny how about calling your surgery and asking for a telephone triage - our surgery does this and they will usually say OK here's a script, or we are calling you an ambulance (friend with chest pains who called in) or keep going with what you are doing. If you are bad they *might* do a home visit. if you get a script then you can send OH to collect for you
Worth a call?
Also re the wondering about meds time, trick I was taught was write down the time you took your last meds on a piece of paper next to the bed and when you do take more then you cross that time out and write the next time down. Very easy to OD especially on paracetamol when you are only get few hours / minutes sleep on and off.
Hope you feel better soon. Well done on NSD and DON"T do work Friday. Not worth it.Start info Dec11

Thanks once again for all the well wishes. For the first time in what seems like days, I feel marginally human, if not tired. My sinuses are hurting but are flowing freely, so my eyes are watering and my nose is running. I'm actually cold this morning rather than chilled or flushed. I still have some aches and pains and a sore throat but nowhere near as bad. I'm currently lying in bed drinking honeyed lemsip, about to go back to sleep. Would be nice to sleep for a couple of hours but unlikely as I cough too often.
I rang work yesterday and told HIM I wouldn't be in and HE said "tbh I didn't expect you", which is good.
Another 2 nsd to add to the list, though not hard considering I haven't been anywhere.
Thought I'd post this for all you Friday people:

Hi granny - always love your jokey pics.
Take care and if sinus get too bad call doc. I suffered a week before phoning in and ended up on anti-b's which finally shifted it.
(I had started on your diary a while ago but its hard to keep up lol so jumped to today.)0 -
Hello Lam nice of you to join us, it's not so much about debt busting on here, although that is going on quietly in the background. It's more somewhere to pull up a chair with a nice glass of wine and have a good old natter about your day, with the odd joke thrown in.
I'm fairly certain I'll need antibiotics but as I may also need another week off work, I've decided to wait and see how I feel on Monday, after a weekend of trying to rebuild my strength. The doctor, quite rightly won't give sick notes over the phone and right now I think I may need a few more days. The pain in my ribs from coughing so much is quite bad plus I have an embarrassing situation from coughing so often.
I've just had a bath, had to wait for OH to come home in case i needed help and now feel fairly wiped out.I am for the first time in days though hungry so am pretty sure that is a good sign.
I didn't weigh on Monday as I was feeling so rough and will resist doing so until next Monday as I'm bound to get a skewed result because of illness.
So right now I'm on here trying to summon up the energy to go and make myself some soup, wouldn't it be nice if OH considered I may be in need of nourishment. :eek:Targets
