One year I have OH a wii with guitar hero which is what she asked for. The song they use to teach it to you is "eye of the tiger". I had to listen to that !!!!!!! song 8 hours a day for 7 days of the festive period. The guitar was "lost " in the house clean. HA HA HA HA
xx
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I did that with a shirt he insisted on wearing over and over again. He asked me where it was about 4 times, "wash, dryer, ironing basket, oh you must have left it in the hotel after all" were my responses. Of course, he had left it at the hotel all along, because it somehow managed to jump out of the case and hide itself under the bed. By the time we got to the "sort of" truth it was too late to contact the hotel, although of course I did so for him - NOT

Thank you for the Xmas wishes and hope you all had a great time, I know I did.
Xmas day was busy but not manic like usual. OH and I got up at 8am, quite civilised and opened our presents from each other. He got me a P^nd0r^ bracelet and 7 charms which really surprised me. I also had books, small but expensive box of chox, a really funny Elephant hat, scarf and mittens all-in-one :rotfl: and various other bits and pieces. He also paid for DGDs to buy me 2 bracelets and a necklace and earring set, which I love.
He then went to get MIL whilst I tidied up and made the breakfast buffet. This went really well with MIL staying until 12, just to annoy OH who kept asking her if she was ready yet for about an hour. Each time he asked, she stayed a bit longer, in the end he realised what she was doing, so stopped nagging.
We then had a lovely 2 hours, in peace, no tv, just sitting chatting and chilling, until DF arrived half an hour early.
Oh dear, poor OH was not happy as he really was relaxed and in a very good mood and this quickly changed once DF arrived, as they are too similar, both like to think they are the alpha male and don't really get along. DF is a very contankerous man and is also not very hygenic, which made OH very angry. He hadn't even bothered to put on a clean top. OH said he's not invited next year but I said He is but will be told to turn up in a presentable way.
He left after eating his dinner, probably stayed about 2 hours in total, but tbh, (I know this sounds mean), that was more than long enough. OH and I just relaxed on the sofas for the evening, watching nice things on tv, (not a bit of sport in sight), drinking and eating far too much. He rang in the evening to say he'd forgotten to give me the money for DGDs t-shirts and could drop it down on BD but I turned him down as we would have a house full. I know its mean but he really is hard work and with him and OH together and a house full as well, I don't think my nerves could handle it.
I chatted to DD for about an hour in total on Xmas eve, via Wh^ts^pp and again on Xmas day for the same amount of time. She loved her pressies. I then spoke to her for a bit last night via same App. We were going to talk on the phone, (she doesn't have sufficient wifi access to skype from home sadly), but decided it was cheaper, (ie free) to do it this way and although not as nice, perfectly adequate. I sent her a photo of OH wearing my hat and of the tree, fireplace, presents and dining table set for breakfast.
Boxing day was spent with DS, DDIL and DGDs, which was lovely. The girls had about a dozen presents each to open, (from our side of the family, us and Santa) and took it in turns to open one each, so it took a while. We even left one until after lunch.
DGD2 loved her doll from DD and had her opening all her presents with her. It was so cute, she kept going up to both dolls and saying "Hi, baba" and kissing them.
DGD1 had a moment when one of DGD2s presents was marginally larger than hers and she was besides herself with jealousy. She calmed down when I told her that her's cost more, even if it was smaller.
They were both very well behaved. DGD2 opened the pyjamas from MIL and having removed the clothes, looked for the present in the packaging, clearly not thinking pyjamas was a present :rotfl:. Funnily though DF bought her a t-shirt with a dog on it and she loved that.
They left at 3, as DS was working at 4 and we spent the evening relaxing. We did manage to find sport on the tv at one point but I went for a bath and then came back down, huffed, went to sleep and when I woke up 30mins later, it had miraculously disappeared.
Sadly, I'm working today, (can't you tell), so had to get up early to come into a fairly empty office. There are 3 on my floor, 2 on the 1st and about 5 on the 1st. I'm leaving in 45 mins though. I'm off then until 2nd and then working from home, so not back in the office until 4th. (next year, I'm going to take from 21st to 6th Jan off, which will only cost me 4 days leave)
However, I've just had a lovely short-lived but fantastic surprise from work. They have overpaid me, (wait for it), £12,000, having listed me as temporary promoted for a period of time. I know it'll have to be paid back but I can dream, "If only" For the time being, I've transferred it to my savings to earn a little interest.
Anyway, best get off and at least pretend to do some work.
Talk soon.
Lots of love Granny x
