They did end up in the freezer thank goodness, although tea last night was lovely.
I have spent the day tidying upstairs after going for coffee with OH this morning. The shops were surprisingly quiet at 10am, although got a bit busier by the time we left an hour later.
I planned to do some Christmas wrapping and some ironing today but neither got done. I'm hoping to do some tomorrow before DGDs come for the night. Haven't seen them for nearly 2 weeks so looking forward to some quality time over the next day or so.
OH has as usual spent the afternoon slumped on the sofa, drinking and watching sport, he's now snoring in situ. I'm happily cwtched up in bed reading diaries.
Had a nsd today and may possibly have one tomorrow too, unless I decide to go out before I pick DGDs up.
Hope you've all had a good day.
Speak tomorrow

How lovely to see the DGDs, lovely day in store for you, far better than ironing!
Sorry can't like the faggots, not my idea of tasty food, but there again, I am a veggie
I cleared out my freezer yesterday, had to resort to the hairdryer to clear the iceHaven't done it in a while. I now have plenty of space for Christmas cooking and icecream :T I'm going to make some star mince pies later, there's actually space to freeze them on a tray before wrapping them up. That hasn't been possible for a while, due to the large Arctic build up...

Yes far more enjoyable but extremely tiringWent for a lie down after they went home today at 4pm and didn't surface until 6.30pm. No energy even to eat, won't do me any harm though x
We had a lovely 25hrs though and lots of quality time. DGD2 was her usual delightful cuddly self. DGD1, although beautiful is extremely demanding and was very hyper. She can't concentrate for longer than 5 minutes, if that, and needs constant attention. OH only saw her for an hour this afternoon and passed out as soon as she left with exhaustion.
NSD yesterday but not today as the 3 of us went out for lunch, it was lovely though with DGD1 being pretty well behaved and DGD2 eating the place out of house and home, gosh that child can eat. I don't know where she puts it all.
Off to bed, again, in a mo, hopefully last day in the office tomorrow, (hoping don't have to go in on Wed too) until 27th, although working from home Wed and Thurs.

Naughty but oh so funny:
A Teacher trying to teach good manners asked her students this
Question: Michael if you were on a date having dinner with a nice young lady, how would you tell her that you have to go to the bathroom??
Michael:"Just a minute, I have to go pee.."
Teacher: That would be rude & impolite..
How about you Sam??
Sam said:"I really need to go to the Toilet, I'm sorry.."
Teacher: That's better but still not nice to say the word Toilet..
Oh you Daniel ?? Can you use your brain??
Daniel said:"Darling, May I please be excused for a moment?? I've got to shake hands with a very dear friend of mine, whom I hope to introduce to you after dinner."

Well what a mad day I had yesterday, nothing went right from start to finish and I ended up complaining about HIM to senior boss and then stressed all night over what I'd said and if I'd stepped out of line. Today, I think, well I didn't say anything that wasn't correct and what'll be will be, can't change what's already done. Boss said he was going to speak to HIM, not sure if he's done so already, but as I've said I'm not going to stress over it.
Had a NSD today as tbh I couldn't be a$$ed to go out, its been cold, wet and windy all day. Have to go into the office tomorrow but not for long, just to pick up some paperwork and I'm working from home for the rest of the day and then off until the 27th.
OH paid 1/3rd of that bill today with the rest to be paid on 31st. His DM dated the cheque for 25th, so it was rejected by the bank when we tried to deposit it. A bit annoying but can't really ask her for a fresh one as she isn't aware of our situation. We'll bank it on 27th and if money hasn't cleared, can delay paying the rest of the bill until it is cleared, which is a load off my mind.
I've lost my christmas cards so have to go out tomorrow and buy some, which is annoying. I haven't even got around to posting the few I intend to do yet, I've probably missed the last posting day too but they are only cards, so I don't really mind if they get them in the New Year, its the thought that counts.
I'm going to finish work now as had an exceptionally long day yesterday and have had enough for today. Hope life is good with you all, speak tomorrow.

how do you feel about sending some of the cards as ecards? I know you need the real thing for some of the people but maybe you can do less. I did all real ones this year and between postage and cards it was about £75 which is an awful lot.

Thanks all, especially Mrs Lucky, that's a relief I will get them sent off today, once I've bought them of course.
NL, I only intend posting cards to 2 close friends, a nephew, my dad and 2 sisters, as mum has already had hers, so 6 in all and may even decide to forget dad's as he's coming here on Christmas day.
Lucielle, I am busy but not too much so, still have ironing and a bit of house tidying to do to get the house nice for Christmas. I'm working from home this morning, nipping to the shops at lunch time and then into work this afternoon to get a job done. Then off for a facial this evening, gift from friend and then no work for a week. YEY.
Bye for now, Granny xTargets
