Lloyds TSB Premier - without credit facilities

  • So is there an effective way to go from a silver account (what I was approved for when I signed up) to a premier account ?

Online I don't have the option to change to anything at all.

In signup the woman called an internal department and they said no, even with all my previous statements from Barclays there. Said there was some adverse credit history at my address apparently.

Really didn't think they'd have that much trouble letting me give them another 12 quid a month.

Still trying to get them to update this adverse credit malarkey. There is now no adverse credit on my name but according to Lloyds TSB there is. They should have done a update on Friday, this appears to have not been the case though

They will upgrade with adverse credit to premier though, was told this was all I was eligible for with them at the moment despite the 1A rating

    Well... an UPDATE!

Logged in to online banking yesterday and platinum option was there... clicked 'Upgrade' and it went through instantly.

No overdraft facility, but platinum account all set up.

    Interesting....

Still only showing silver for me and I'm told I'm eligible for this. Not that I want it anyway but was hoping they'd do the update for the credit files from Experian but some reason still showing as declined for a credit card due to adverse

It's really strange. I'm not sure I know how Lloyds TSB work!

As I said, initially a cash account (basic) in July last year... declined 4 times for an upgrade to classic account, finally in March upgraded to classic, then to silver immediately. I tried twice to upgrade from silver, but told via the telephone no chance, and never an option online (The 'sorry, we cannot upgrade your accounts' message).

Now, I can go all the way to Premier. Surely this means my internal score is improving month on month, no?

I'm guessing there's still no chance of a credit card/overdraft with them.

Got a OD with them which I never use, even managed to increase limit on it. But really after their credit card and they refuse. Go figure what they're thinking.

LTSB change the internal credit scoring monthly, also MME is correct in all his posts, I don't understand it either though :)

Internal Scores and CRA data should have been updated on the 20th, on Friday the silly adverts went for a period of about 10 minutes, logged back in and they were there again where the "My Offers" should show up at the bottom of your list of accounts

The site then went down for a few hours, hoping this was going to resolve it but no the ads have been there all weekend :-(

Internal score wise I know mines the highest you can have, but still wont accept me

No one on the phonebank can help me get this sorted out either.

They just tell me to take a copy of my credit report into the branch. I did that and the branch then tell you that the updates go through monthly and they cannot do anything with the report.

How do I get Lloyds TSB to do the updates, they are showing adverse information which was deleted from experian at the start of this year still. I asked if I could send them a copy of my credit report they tell me no I cannot :-(

For what it's worth the two CRAs they use Credit Expert score me at 965 and Call Credit at 5/5 and no derogatory information on there. Go figure why that's now stopping me and how I go about getting Lloyds TSB to update their computer systems.

there must be something I can do, data they are holding is inaccurate as far as I can see and must be a breach of data protection act.
