Renewed by phone 13th June - now getting nil award notices 2 so far - stating that our daughter who is now 16 (adult) is not due any for this year. However, I have confirmed the 16 year F/ed non advanced thing will happen in Sept 2012, so I am hoping that we are due something. According to my calculations, we should be getting £2.69/day in TC's = we shall see. Approx £981/year. Of course this partly depends on how much OT OH gets and if I get my ESA support group(contributions rate). That would take us over the £26k limit easily, so I would need to stop it as soon as it was known. Would not like an overpayment to arise yet again. WE only just got rid of last one.

Hi I posted this a few days ago but it got lost in a discussion.

I sent off renewal weeks ago but still no reply, I got an extra payment last week, does this mean my renewal has been completed and am I just waiting for the 'official' form to be sent out? Does the extra payment mean that I was underpaid last year? Just not sure how all this works yet, thanks

    Hi
Jessica Claire, my situation is also Childcare for 2 little ones and I renewed on 23/4/12.

I have been waiting nearly 10 weeks so phoned again yesterday. I have phoned a number of times over the last couple of weeks with a couple of changes and each time enquired whether they needed any extra info for my renewal. Each time I was assured that they had all the information they needed. They then emailed another "department" to ask for it to be looked at, and have now received a letter requesting my childcare receipts for the year and a copy of the contract! When I spoke to the man in the other department,he had no idea why it had taken nearly 10 weeks to request the extra information.....

    Never mind another wait ahead...

PS I am not impatient but needed the new award notice to verify my income as I am returning to do my Masters in September and need a Career Development loan.

BTW, a Tax Credit award notice doesn't prove your income, only the Tax Credits you have been awarded.

As a general rule it would seem that if you have received an extra payment then it would appear they have processed your renewal and the extra payment is either what you are owed from last year or what your are owed from April if you award has increased. You will be waiting now for the award notices to drop through the door.

As said this is in "general" if you want to be sure give them a quick call :)

So therefore it proves the income I am receiving from Tax credits.

Finally got my renewal notice yesterday. Think it must have been so late because I changed from a couple to a single application just before April. I don't think anything will change on mine, but I over estimated my income by about £1000, so maybe?

Not had time to read through this whole thread.i renewed 2 weeks ago 20th june and i had a call on friday from them wanting me to verify a few details, address, NIN.didnt think until i put the phone down that it could be a scam, so called them up and they confirmed it was them and there was an incompatibility, they also told me my claim had been finalised so should here within the next 2 weeks. thing is we over estimated OH's earning by £6000 as we based it on last years. wondring if we will get a refund.

Finally received my renewal pack on Saturday! Called today with my figures for last year and estimate for this year. Told not to call back until 30th July and that it could be a few weeks before my claim is processed. Hope it's done quickly, the underpayment from last year would come in very useful for our holiday :)
