Tax Credit Renewals - support thread

still haven't received my renewal pack yet. How late can they be? I had always claimed jointly ( but didn't actually receive any money this last year, due to earning too much) but phoned them on 1st April to inform them that I wanted to claim singly from then on, gave them an estimated anount of earnings,and have been getting payments based on that since then. ( 2 children, no childcare) I've actually earned about £1500 less than I estimated, so not sure what difference that will make.
Also got an 18 year old whose child benefit will finish on 31st August as not in full time education after that, so will have to contact them again then.

Is there any benefit to phoning up as opposed to completing the forms? Mine is a single claim for WTC & CTC, no childcare. This is my first renewal so I'm scared I'm going to find out I've been overpaid even though I'm pretty sure my estimates were high and not low. This is stressful!

I'm still waiting too! It seems to get later each year. I used to be waiting for my P60 but the last 2 years its the renewal pack I wait for. Mine is simply WTC with disability element alone.
I always phone as wording on my P60 for earnings is always slightly different so I can ask them which information they want.

Renewed via phone on Thursday 31st, phoned up today and renewal is complete and new payments for the year will start on Monday rather pleased after the kerfuffle I had last year!

I have now accepted that I probably won't receive my renwal til nearer 30th June after waiting on it from 17th April. I can only hope that it will be processed quickly as the majority of renewals will have already been done

its doing my head in how long they are taking with mine, other people seem to be having theres done a few days after they phone up!!
