They seem to be asking for bank statements on single claims, I suppose to check all bills in your name etc! Hope you get it sorted x
  • I think they are checking single claims and self employed claims both with childcare.

I renewed on Tuesday 29th of may ... my renewal was posted 20th may and arrived here on the 29th may . I renewed 19th may last year . so hopefully , all being well should here sometime next week , she said to wait up to 4 weeks for paper work to arrive .

I have just renewed my claim by phone; I was told to phone back after 28th June if I had not heard anything by then. I wonder if they are telling everyone longer this year to stop people chasing up?

Last year it was all sorted within about 1-2 weeks so hoping for the same this year! Mine is a joint employed claim with a small amount of childcare, same as last year.

I renewed 6wks ago and have had nothing back. I rang today, and the girl said looked like mine had been selected for a random check to see if what earnings I told them matched what the tax office said, she said it could take up to 4 weeks. Nothing was mentioned about checking my childcare. I've been told to call in another 4 weeks if I had not got any paperwork back, hope its sorted before then.

You will always be given a date to call back if you have not heard anything by then. The date given depends if there has been anyone looking into your account (to do their random checks) anything from 4 weeks upwards but you will receive an award notice once it's all gone through.

just received 2 payments today of nearly £1000! Not had my award notice yet so no idea if this is correct. My brand new claim has taken just under 5 weeks from when i first called them.
My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say ;)
