  • Thanks guys. My sore foot unfortunately got much worse and is currently like a balloon and I am having to rest it. I bought decent trainers today so hopefully they will help. I have walking shoes but only tend to wear them when I reckon the terrain will bad as they are quite heavy on my feet. So I have been using voltarol cream and paracetamol and tonight I am not moving from the couch and my foot is raised.

I feel very very positive just now. Life is good. For so long I have come last in my life. I had a rotten husband and my life was tough with him, I was then a single Mum and I was always last, I then had my Mum to look after and 2 kids but now I can come first sometimes :D. The kids are older and really independent. I have amazing friends and family. Money is still tight but I have wriggle room so no huge stress with that. I miss my Mum so much and yesterday I would have done anything just to have a wee chat with her but I am having so much fun and have so much to look forward to. I'm loving it :D.

Work is carp as per usual but hey it pays the bills and I am well aware that I am very very lucky to have a decent job with decent enough money.

Not much to report money wise. I bought trainers at £36,99 :o but I really need them as my 10 yr old £7.99 ASDA ones are just not cutting it :o. No more extra spends now until end of month if I can manage it. I have 1 birthday and my friends daughter going on a trip and I will give her some money but other than that hopefully an easy ride to the end of the month.

  • Evening all :D. Foot seems to be on the mend. Nowhere near as ad as it was and I went a short walk at lunchtime and managed okay albeit a bit of a twinge. I have tried to keep my foot elevated most of today in work. I used an upturned bucket with a hot water bottle with cold water in it on top. Not overly comfortable but hopefully doing the trick.

Done most of my housework already and will finish it in a minute. I don't want to leave it as I'll end up doing wee bits all weekend and achieving nothing. I am working tomorrow morning and getting my haircut in afternoon. I cannot wait to get it done. I grew my hair a couple of years ago for a friends wedding and have kept it long but I realised the other day that I just throw it up in a clip most days and very very rarely do anything with it, so I am getting it chopped and going short again :D. I'll probably be frozen as it's really thick and I am a cold blooded person. Loads of sarky comments today from the office wits ( twits) about hats and scarves for me for next week and maybe a wee onesie and my slanket :rotfl:. This is because I had my slanket in during the winter and my hot water bottle as well as a heater under my desk :o. I can't help it, I'm just cold. Had bloods tested and everything and am okay.

Anyway other than that I have a nice long walk booked in for Sunday if my foot is okay with my 2 walking friends ao I am looking forward to that as well. Jope you all have something nice planned xx

  • The walking friends sound good, walking and talking is brilliant. Enjoy your hair. Mine is thick long and down to the middle of my back. I clip it up and its still past my shoulders. make sure you are happy with the chop. xx

  • SBO it must take you hours to dry your hair. When I was younger I spent hours doing mine and tweaked every hair into place and copiously sprayed it with hairspray, Nowadays I wash twice a week with a quick blow dry and shove it up. I need to get it sorted and with a nice easy style. My life is changing and my hair is going to as well. Can't wait.

  • I wash mine every day! I have naturally curly hair that looks frizzy after it's been slept on. It takes longer to wet it and faff about with it to recurl it than it does to wash and dry it again!
