  • Kitty, I might use the voucher. I've always wanted a tattoo of the kids' names. Would be either on my wrists or feet but can't decide and at 48 I'm a bit concerned I am too old for it and will look stupid. I am only 35 in my mind you see :rotfl:.

I have been ill today. My IBS kicked in about 1.30am this morning and the pain was shocking. I was up all night and ended up throwing rings round myself due to the pain at 4am. Actually got to the stage where I thought my appendix was going to burst and was going to get my daughter to take me to hospital but I eventually fell asleep. Went down to meet my friends wee Granddaughter and had to come home and go back to bed. I am sick to death of this. I am so stupid and I know why it happens and it is with eating the wrong things  and yesterday I ate all the wrong things . I'm an eejit. Settled down now but have eaten nothing all day. I will try a wee omelet and see how I go. Sorry for moaning yet again but this is draining me :(.

For the first time in a long time I have not used my cleaning money to pay to my debt and this worries me lots. I am however going to deal with this and I will be starting my spending diary again as that most definitely keep me on the straight and narrow. I have become complacent and I need to get right back on track and sort myself out. No major damage has been done but there is no way in this world that I will reach my monthly target this month :(. I need to make more effort and stop spending as my stash is just about away as well . Silly MIT .

  • Hope you feel better soon.

I wouldn't worry about the cleaning money thing. Sometimes we need a little 'slip up' in order to regroup and refocus. At least there have been no major catastrophes and it sounds like you are back on the straight and narrow Xx

  • Shes right you know.We all need to slip up to be able to focus properly again. I am back on the spending diary just to keep me focussed and get me back on track. I am still on month 30 I am such a twit. However I dont regret having fun with the kids. So dont beat yourself up.

DFW has a recipie to make her own washing powder, I am asking her for it. Why not do that too and the other cleaning things and see if some pennies can be saved there as well?
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Evening folks. Ok I have stopped beating myself up. Look at my signature though I am so close to single figures I can taste it :D. Hopefully by end of month. I need to stop getting so annoyed with myself as I am doing my best whilst allowing us to have a nice wee life and have my house done up.

Went to Morrisons tonight and spent £154 . Not even a sniff of booze, biccies or cakes amongst it either. They wanted £1.99 for a cauliflower . They didn't get it from me !! I have enough food hopefully for about 2 weeks though other than some fresh stuff so I am not going to stress over it.

I have started a walking challenge with 4 of my workmates today. We are trying to sort out a name at the minute and set ourselves a challenge for the 8 weeks. I reckon we will walk about 200 miles each minimum so long as we stay motivated. This should help with the weight loss as well and I am doing the race for life in amongst it. Phew am exhausted thinking about it xx

    .

    Ooh MIT.

Please don't keep eating the wrong foods :D

I know it is hard but when you were so well a few months ago it was great (when you had eaten the 'right' foods')

My DH has IBS (I think anyway but he also has diverticulitis) and what sets him off is onions so now I can't cook with onions and he can't have a lot of things like crisps and sausage rolls etc (Why do they put onion in Prawn Cocktail crisps?) but I am on my way to finding a magical solution:rotfl:

I read an article last year in a Sunday magazine about IBS and the poor girl had lived on chicken and rice (plain) for 10 years as any other food set her off but her mum had read an article about Bimuno IBAID which is something to do with pre-biotics (not pro-biotics) and she had started taking it and after a few motnhs she noticed a difference and now a few years down the line she can eat anything except sage and onion stuffing :rotfl:

So my DH has been taking this for quite a few months and he is going great guns - we buy it from Boots (currently on 3 for 2. Usually £9.99 each) and you chew two pastilles every day without fail.

This has got his sluggish digestive system moving (TMI but he used to only go once a week:eek:) and he has had some products with onion in :T

He wanted a McD's and I told him to have a chicken burger as this has no onion, he wanted a Big Mac, I said NO, he said he wanted one so I said that if he suffered it would be up to him and I would not help soothe him etc. So he got the stupid Big Mac (complete with diced onion ) and do you know it didn't do anything to him :T
We all know that raw onion is stronger than onion powder so if he can have them then we are getting there. We are gradually trying a new thing every few weeks but it has to a product that is worth it because the pain and cramps are so unbearable.

Prehaps this is something you could try - they also have a website.

I also recommended it to a friend at work but hers has not improved although she is still eating the same products that set her off whereas I think she should have stopped the 'bad' foods to build up her pre-biotics and then try them but never mind.

Sorry if it sounds like I am having a go but I just have your best interests at heart :A

Hi mit my daughter also get terrible cramps then usually throws up although she has been diagnosed from hospital that she is wheat intolerantshe also cant have much yeast anyway following what eager elephant said i have also put my daughter on pro biotics she has the multibionta ones from boots which are wheat and yeast free which obviously is very important to give her correct ones as some have got wheat in , i think they were about £8 for 28 tablets but she feels so much better now and doesnt look so bloated although she sometimes still gets really bad cramps and hot cold sweats it has dramatically reduced so if you possibly think you also are getting ill from say wheat products you should give probiotics a go they certainly cant harm u:j

Forgot to say the multibionta probiotics are made by seven seas and they have whole range in boots
  • Aww thanks guys.I love this place :D. Because I am the only one amongst my friends with IBS sometimes I feel as if I am the only person who has it. Anyone else I have spoken to who has this condition all have different symptoms and triggers. The problem that I have is that I do not seem to have any particular trigger. Sometimes if I eat fatty food I am fine and other times I'm in agony. I reckon it is an accumulation over a few days of 'bad' foods. So EE I am back on the straight and narrow and healthy eating is the buzz word in this house. I am fine if I have a night of eating and drinking BUT if I eat unhealthily before or after it then I am in trouble. I have a quiet weekend this week and I am just going to allow everything to settle as the pain is just ridiculous.

My kitchen is coming along nicely. All cupboards are painted and some of it has now been lined and I must say DD is doing a right good job of it :D. I cannot wait until it is done and back to normal as the whole house is upside down :(.Never mind, it'll be done y the weekend.

DD's 19th birthday on Saturday. I am buying her a leather jacket and a pair of trainers for her holidays. DS has given me £20 to get her something as well. Everyone else is giving her money for her holidays but I hate giving money and refuse to do it. She wants a chocolate fudge cake so I will get that made tomorrow night and I will make one for work too,

The walking is going really well as well and I actually managed to lose 3lbs this week at slimming world so it's all good.

So you guys need to be my food conscience and keep me on the straight and narrow :D xx
