  • Hmmm I was a right moany git yesterday :o. Much better today as meds and healthier eating are kicking in at last. I have managed all day without pain killers and I have actually been quite a nice person :rotfl:.

I took DS's friend home and bought them a bacon roll on way there as it is a fair journey to his home. We then had a look at the school DS is hopefully moving to after the summer. We went to M&S to pick up a parcel for me and bought some food in there with a voucher I had. I picked up some flowers for my 2 wee aunties and went and said Hi to them. Tonight my ex BIL and young niece are coming to see us so that'll be nice. I have been invited out but having just gotten my stomach under control again I have said no. I am pretty low on funds now anyway and would need to taxi it home.

Idont think DS and I are working tomorrow which in a way is bad as no money but also good as I can fit my new tiles onto my bathroom floor.

I applied for the MBNA 24 mnth 0% BT today but was turned down :(. I just don't get why this happens as other times I get credit no bother, Oh well I'll just keep plodding on.

I hope everyone has had a nice day in the sunshine today xx

    May 2013 new beginnings:j
  • Aww KP so sorry to hear that. I know she has been ill for a long time and sometimes it is a relief to let them go. I am like that most of the time with my mum it's just the other times that are hard.

Well I am just taking a break from cleaning. Deccies are down and I am steam cleaning the living room floor and have cleaned every inch including the windows. I am a dirty b*tch :rotfl:. I have been so down recently and was so busy with my mum before that, that my house has been sorely neglected. That will be changing as of now as I am really quite shocked at myself. I get a window cleaner every 2 weeks to do the outside of my windows but I couldn't tell you the last time the insides were done. I am going to finish lounge and hall today today and move into the kitchen tomorrow.

I have bought paint for DD to decorate my hall so that will look great when it is done and I am going to use my mum's money for a new carpet ASAP. My bedroom is perfect, DD's bedroom has just been decorated, DS's bedroom is not being touched until he learns to keep it tidier  and the bathroom has been painted recently. I have flooring ready to lay in the bathroom and will get that done hopefully before I go back to work on Monday and then bathroom will be finished too. The kitchen needs ripped out and renewed but no chance of that. I am going to strip it and get DD to skim and paint it to tidy it up in the meantime and DS ripped the vinyl so I will contact the insurance and see about getting that replaced. I'll also get DD to paint the cupboard fronts and it'll keep me going with it for another couple of years :D.

I'm feeling very motivated about everything and I hope I can keep it up. This must be because I am actually feeling so much better and my pain is under control :D:D:D:D:D:D..

No work today but the owner wants a deep clean done next week so that's fine. I normally only use that money to pay off CC so I will be glad to get it. I am also due £20 per week for maintenance allegedly from 24.12 but no sign of it yet . Oh well if and when it comes through it will also be used to try and get my goals for this year.

Happy Saturday folks. I am away to get on with my cleaning :D

The rest of the place is minging mind you but baby steps and it's taken me all afternoon to do one room :o:o:o:o:o. I have managed 3 loads of washing as well mind you and dinner is cooking away nicely in the oven. Very plain dinner due to tummy

  • Just back from the hospital. My friend's Dad has gone downhill very quickly and we were called up tonight. He is so so poorly. I saw him last weekend and I cannot believe the difference in him since then. If I had been feeling better during the week I would have been down to see him. I've left my friend and her Mum up at hospital and will get news later on how he is doing. I am so sad for them and I am very fond of him too. I am torn as to what I want to happen. If he goes quickly tonight then it will save him weeks of suffering but we're not quite ready to let him go yet. So far I am not liking 2013 as it has been sh^t so far

  • New day , new mindset. My friend's Dad is still hanging in there. He has had a blood transfusion but he is not out of the woods yet. I'll go and see him again this afternoon and see how he's doing. My friend had called me at 7.30am and they were just heading home for a sleep. Such a shame and brings back so many horrible memories to us. Never mind it's just the way life is and we need to deal with it.

I have been up and cleaning so downstairs in my house is gleaming. Just about to start on the dreaded ironing and I will be a right Mrs Organised today. No big fancy dinner to make as kids want burgers for dinner before I enforce healthier eating again from tomorrow and I will have a stir fry. Nice and easy.

No intentions to spend any money today but who knows. Have a nice day folks xx
