Thanks for being nice about me :) and Princess I would find the time ;)

  • Hmm more phone calls telling me I am owed PPI. No I'm not buster so naff off my phone !!

Anyway no replies to my pic :(. Very small site mind you so am not overly bothered. Not sure how these things work tbh.

Very excited as I have realised that I only have 5 more payments to go on my bank loan and that will release £132.20 per month to pay off CC :D:D. I cannot wait to get rid of it once and for all. I am excited by the thought that come next October if I stay on track then I can start saving for a fabulous kitchen :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I will not be able to contain myself then :rotfl:you will all be bored reading about it.

Spent £1.52 today on a baked potato and beans for my lunch as i was not organised. Wasn't very nice. So I came home and made some savoury rice with chicken and low calorie jelly for DD and I for lunch tomorrow. At least I know it'll taste nice and zero cost for us :D.

Overdrawn in my account by £75 today but DD will be paying in the money she owes me tomorrow when she gets paid so it will just cost me £1 in charges. I need to be more careful next month as I have actually borrowed £200 from my Mum's money. I have paid off the Argos bill for the beds I had bought and the Christmas gifts. It was always my plan to pay it off but I am really annoyed at myself as it was over £1k and I forgot to quidco it . Idiot .Never mind. So I have just under £1k in an account. I am going to get a carpet for my hall and keep the rest as a wee emergency fund. It'll only be a few hundred but it will give me peace of mind knowing it's there. Still to find £289.42 to reach my payment target this month. Ha bloody ha. I have potential to earn £85 for cleaning but no way of getting the other £200. I will have to think hard :rotfl:

  • Well we have good news and bad news today. The good news is that DD is ok and the bad news is that she bumped my beautiful new car that I have only made 2 payments to . Never mind. My bumper has been dinged and scratched and other car has had its door and wing scratched. The other car is an 02 plate and no contact from the owner as yet so we will see what happens. If he doesn't get in touch then I will just get the body work done on mine and leave out the insurance company. B*gger I say

NSD again today :D. Doing okay sticking to my menu plan this week. I love being nice and organised. I will do the same for next week as kids have embraced it. They have moaned a couple of times about what they were having but tough luck :)

  • Aww your poor car. However, it will repair and DD is fine!

Meal planning is the way forwards. I love the batch cooking!

  • I've calmed down about the car now. It's only a bit of metal and realistically it will not cost me a penny as DD will pay it. I know it is tough of me to do that to her but she needs to learn that I can't always bail her out.

DD and I are off to see Les Miserables tomorrow and I can't wait :D. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

DD's friend had a baby yesterday and she wasn't even aware she was pregnant :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: can you even imagine the shock? Baby is gorgeous mind you.DD has been warned though. I am way too young to be a Gran :rotfl:/

NSD again today so am pleased with that :D. 5.5lbs off at slimming club so that's great as well :D

6 months ago today I lost my precious Mum. I have thought about her all day and spent a part of tonight having some memory time. Am sad but am okay and I will be okay going forward, as she taught me well how to be a strong woman and how not to give in.My wee Mum had a hard life but always came out smiling. Her Mum died when she was 7 and she was in a large family. Her Dad was a drinker and my Aunty brought them all up. This is quite a familiar story of life in the 40's-50's. She married my Dad when she was 21 and myself and my brother came along to make their family complete. They never had much money but oh my there was boundless love. They really were soul mates. Then cancer came to visit and took my darling Dad at the age of 37 and Mum was left a widow with a 10 yr old and a 13 yr old. We were good kids so at least that was something. She then had rheumatoid arthritis and was quickly crippled with it and could no longer work. She sold her house and moved into a wee council flat. The grandkids came along and a prouder Gran there could not have been. She bored anyone who would listen to her with tales( often exaggerated) of their exploits. She helped me constantly and also spent all her money on us. She was a tiny wee power house of a woman who had a hard life. She could be a wee tyrant and still ruled me till the day she died. But all I can say, and I say it with pride is that she was and always will be MY MUM and I love and miss her massively. BUT i am what she made me and I will make her proud of me.

Bit of a story but she was some woman.:heart2:

Your Mum sounds like one in a million and I don't think you will ever stop missing her. But hopefully you can start to remember her with smiles at the memories instead of tears sometime soon ;)
