Guys I came home tonight feeling awfy sorry for myself as I am working all weekend and I am tired. I then went onto facebook for a nosey and watched the video I have pasted above. omg!! what a guy. How can I complain. I have all my bits in the right places and not such a bad life. No more moaning from me.

I got my payslip today and cleared £185 for 1 days overtime :eek:. Doing 2 days this weekend so that is very exciting. My CC's will be gone in no time if I can even get 1 day per weekend for a couple of months. Only £460 or so and I can get rid of one of them. So this year I will hopefully be rid of my loan and 2 cards :D. Good stuff I say.

Dinner tonight was leftovers. I had slimming world HM chicken curry and some Uncle Ben's rice from my Indian hamper, DS had 3 dippers, 2 burgers and 8 ( yes 8) croquettes I had cooked at new year and reheated tonight. He wolfed it down ;) and then he went to the shop and bought loads of sweets and a finger of fudge for moi :D. DD is off out for a night partying with her friends and thankfully not coming home so I will get a sleep. Starting work at 8 so need my sleep.

Spent £34 today on paint and plaster for my hall but hey it'll be done properly for a change instead of me just splashing on the paint and hoping it looks good. I hope she finishes it over the weekend :p.

DD has been watching a programme called Growing up Young and it is apparently about children and poverty etc. She has been quite affected by it as she said to me 'Mum you might think we're skint but THAT is skint' she then went on to talk about all her plans for the future and my heart just sang. She is motivated at last :rotfl::rotfl:. Thank you television :rotfl:.

We have snow today but not too bad and will hopefully 'get lost' before the morning. Catch you all later xx and Princess - step away from the biccies :rotfl:

Oops too late :o I am just crap at dieting!! I have a sweet tooth. So today I had an M&M's yoghut, piece of cheesecake AND a bounty of which I ate one half and then the other a few hours later, either way it still adds up to a WHOLE bounty :rotfl::rotfl:

Well, it is snowing here and has been for the past 4 hours or so, no sign of it letting up yet either. So thats it I will have to Ebay tomorrow. And iron. And clean. Sounds about as rock and roll as your weekend of working and decorating supervising :)

Great news on the loan and two CC's going this year :j You seemed so motivated over the last few weeks.

I too watched that programme and it was heartbreaking, not just the lack of money but the lack of support, love and care for those poor kiddies. Only 16 yet no-one around to support them, i cried watching it. It does make you realise that their are so many people so worse off.
I am sure it will have made your DD so grateful to have such a supportive mum

    Hope work is OK tomorrow,

    Night
    xx
  • Love it! Strong lady strong daughter!
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Hope the overtime went OK, bet you are cream crackered.

Had to dig the car out this morning, well OH dug the car out this morning and then got it off the drive for me ;) Took my friend to the hosp, her 9 week old is in :(

    xx
  • Oh dear Princess hope baby is okay. I am shattered tonight. Manged to do everything I was meant to do today and have prepped some work for tomorrow so it should be fine. Went and did cleaning job after work with DS. My house is a minging mess as well. I have a cheek to clean someone else's when mine looks like it does. Ho hum that's just the way life is this week ;).

SBO here's hoping she's a strong woman. Although they think at 18 they know everything they really know nothing and are pretty much finding their way. I'm pretty sure she will do well.

It is bucketing it down here. Place is starting to flood. Drive home from cleaning job earlier was interesting to say the least. Nice country roads with no lights, massive puddles and lashing rain. Such fun................NOT :rotfl:.

I am really quite excited about getting some overtime and I hope it continues for a few weeks as I will take whatever I can get. How wonderful would it be if I could knock a few months off of my DFD :D.

I got a letter in from Barclaycard saying my borrowing power is being increased by £2k in March. The money I owe on that card is at 6.9% LOB so I will see if I can transfer some from my higher interest account after checking if it is worth it as I would need to pay a balance transfer fee. So strange to think I could be potentially CC debt free next year. How cool is that ??:D:D

MiT, great news on the overtime and potential credit card switcheroo! I feel your pain though with the country road/puddle drive drama though! I just did a similar journey home  Xx

  • Oh I love the country. I am just about there.1 row of houses across the road then fields and fields and fields. Unfortunately behind me is a massive housing estate .

I wouldn't like to stay anywhere remote but a nice village would be great.
