Oh dear I've been missing in action for a wee while. Spends went off the scale so not much point in coming on to be honest. But here I am back again and raring to go.
I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas. I had a nice time. Christmas Eve was a very sad day and I cried most of the day but this was good as it meant that on Christmas day I was fine as I had gotten it all out of my system. Couldn't say the same for my brother mind you but a few drinks and he came round. I made all the dinner and my DD bought me a cocktail fountain which we had lots of fun using. Surprisingly no sorehead today which is always a bonus. I was thoroughly spoiled by everyone and it was really nice. I have been trying to get into making Indian curries recently and my brother made me up a massive hamper with all the spices and an authentic masala dabbas ( spice tray) and I am thrilled with it. He threw in a couple of bottles of wine with it too. He had gone into Glasgow to the Asian supermarket and bought all the spices for me.
Heading into my aunties house today to see all the family and have some food. No drink for me as I am working tomorrow. Looking forward to the chat though. Going to head down to the town whilst at work tomorrow and buy DS some clothes in the sales as well as he is really short on stuff due to a massive growth spurt. I can't keep up with him tbh. I had bought him an electric razor for part of his Christmas and I had to walk away when he was shaving as I swear I have never seen anything so funny in my entire life as the faces he was pulling whilst using it. Hilariously funny.
Anyways I best get off of here and get a shower and into some clothes and head in for my dinner. Catch you all later xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Back to work, Oh joy!! Only tomorrow to go and then a week off :j.
I am ultra skint. I get paid on Monday and owe £300 to my Mum's money before I even start paying the bills . In all honesty though I cannot wait to start money saving again as this spending malarkey does not sit well with me. I need to get myself some boots in the sale and a couple pairs of trousers for DS and that is all.
I am having a few people over at the new year so I am going to make traditional Scottish food and give them their dinner before we start to drink some yummy cocktails. I am going to make woo woo's as I love them. So menu will be Scotch Broth then steak pie and various puddings. This wont cost too much as I will put loads of link sausages in the stew as well as steak and loads of veggies so it will be well padded out. I will just buy frozen puff pastry and we can have that with loads of veggies. Easy peasy :rotfl:.

That's the online shopping done. £99.27 being delivered on Monday. That includes party food and stocking up on other food so not as bad as it may appear. I will be starting my spending diary again on Monday and I am setting myself a budget of £350 per month including lunches. This will be hard going but I need to get myself into single figures for CC debt ASAP and I am sure I will manage that by the summer
. I have joined tha pay off as much as you can challenge again and set myself a target of paying off half of my debt in 2013. That amounts to just over £6k.
I'm not counting my car as I see that as essential debt so it is just my loan and CC's. I swear I will never ever get another CC once these are gone.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I am exhausted as DS and I cleaned 2 holiday lets today. One of them was absolutely disgustingly filthy after the last guests. It beggars belief what some people think is acceptable to leave for others to clear up. This time their kids had used the floor to throw their sweet papers away ( even though there are bins in every room) so before even beginning to clean the house we had to pick up all the things they had dropped:mad:. Well the lady of the family left behind her specs and house keys so ha ha and maybe that'll teach her to be a bit cleaner in future
. Cruel I know but I would never mistreat someone's home like that. £60 earned mind you so I will pay that off of CC on Monday when I get the money into my bank account.
Am so so looking forward to my week off and have plans to do lots of socialising with friends and family to catch up with people. I also need to so a wee bit shopping for clothes for DS and I. Desperately required trainers and joggers for DS and boots for me. I reckon for the next few months I am going to have to build up DS's wardrobe again but £20 per month in Primark will get him quite a lot. He has loads of undies, pj's and socks but everything else is getting too small or short for him . I'll need to make a list- I do love a list :rotfl:5 Year plan. Hi KP - Getting Married , Congratulations.Good to see you.
My credit card and loan debt is sitting at £12,075 today and I want it down to £6k by next December. To do that I need to pay £590 per month .
My minimum payments are £310 per month just now so I need to find another £280. I am allegedly to start getting £20 per week maintenance so that will be £80 and hopefully from cleaning job and overtime I can get the other £200. This means I will still have £730 to live on which in comparison to other periods in my life that is loads :rotfl:. I want to stick to £350 for food and I'm usually about £150 for petrol which leaves £230 for everything else. That's my plan anyway and I know I am forever changing my mind but I really think this might be achievable and I desperately want rid of these cards once and for all.
If I manage this then I will clear 3 cards and a loan in 2013 :j:jhow exciting is that!!!!!! That would just leave me with 2 cards. So wish me luck as I am going for it BIG time.:j:j. This is my oath :rotfl:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hmmm I think I may finally have lost my mind. I have 20 possibles for dinner tomorrow night . 11 are definite and the other 9 are to confirm. Just going to make a huge pot of lentil broth and steak pie, potatoes and veg. I have some puddings in the freezer already but will make another fudge cake tomorrow and we will be sorted. I can't wait
. House is relatively clean so between the kids and I we will have it ship shape in no time. I am determined that I will bring in the new year with a smile on my face surrounded by friends and family.
My new diary is all ready to start on 1st January and again I am feeling very positive about money saving and life in general for 2013. As my DD would say- I'm buzzing :rotfl:
DD has introduced me to Twilight today and we are now on movie number 3. I haven't even had a shower

Happy Hogmanay folks. I have 15 coming for dinner tonight but it is all just about cooked and just need to do the potatoes and veg later. I'll get the cocktail fountain going and the wine will be flowing and a big smile plastered on my face for my guests but tbh I just want to crawl into a corner and sob. Usually on hogmanay I am stressed to the hilt as I need to clean my mum's before I even start on mine and here I am all organised at 4pm with dinner cooked because I had one house less to sort out. Oh what I would give to be stressed and annoyed just now but hey ho. I don't want to be a blubbering mess tonight but I'm not hopeful
,
Anyway enough of feeling sorry for myself. I need to live as life is for the living. I am away to make Woo Woos and I will dance the night away with good friends and family. Slainte Mhath ( good health) to you all and I hope you are all warm and safe and slightly better off then last year at this time xxxxxxxx5 Year plan.
