Happy New Year MIT
Had some sad news myslf today but whatever happens life too short to be sad for long Take care xxx:j0 -
Happy New Year folks. Well my wee night with friends and family was fabulous. We had a great time. Much eating and drinking was done and I was surrounded with happy people having lots of fun and laughs. I had a few tears at the bells and DS was pretty upset but all in all we were good.
I got up yesterday morning to clear up the mess and when I went into my hall a wee mouse ran out in front of me. I let out a scream and ran upstairs and woke the kids . I hate mice so much and they completely freak me out. My brother couldn't even come and rescue me a she was staying at a friends so my neighbour came in. The mouse had been sitting quite the thing at my living room door but we put a trap in and within seconds it was caught. I then sat on the couch and put a plea on facebook for more traps and another mouse ran through my feet. Well I can tell you I almost had a heart attack. I was out in the street in tears on phone to my brother who couldn't stop laughing at me :rotfl:My DS was bravely hiding under his covers whilst DD and I were clinging to each other. So again my elderly neighbour came in and the 2nd mouse was caught very quickly. I have been traumatised by it all. I cleaned my kitchen with bleach and then my IBS kicked in big time and I spent the rest of the day in bed with Netflix ( I use my brothers account for that ) The trap was left set overnight but no more visitors. I kept my light on all night and my dressing gown was stuffed under my door but I couldn't sleep. Every time I tried to fall over my heart was pounding out of my chest and I thought I was going to have a heart attack. What a wuss I am :rotfl:. My tummy is still sore today but hopefully once the pain killers kick in and a wee lie down I will be fine and dandy to go to Homebase. I want traps and paint for my hall so DD can get it done for me.
I had a no spend day yesterday but I will need to spend some money today. Shiny new spending diary will be started and I will most definitely get a grip on my spending.

Hi SBO really nice to see you. PLMBL I am really excited re the 11's. During 2012 I have managed to pay off from loan and cc debt £5,473.32 :j. Now considering I only have 1 income plus a small income from cleaning job, I have had no maintenance for the majority of the year and I have had my Mum die this year , which caused my eye to be taken off of the ball somewhat, I am really proud of my achievement. I am going to at least match that this year and if I can possibly better it I will. It should be slightly easier as the interest I was paying out has plummeted and I am paying so much less out in comparison to the beginning of the year. With the interest I paid out I shudder to think how mush I actually paid and also makes me sick to my stomach what I could have done with £6k. I could have had my new kitchen
. Never mind.
Today DS has 3 friends down. 2 of them come from miles away so at lunch time we went and collected them and I drove them to the go karting centre. We went via McD's and I treated them to that. They paid for their own karting and laser tagging. Whilst they were in I read a book on my kindle about frugal living to get me back on track. I then went shopping :rotfl:BUT I was frugal. Bought trainers for DS and he paid £20 towards them from his Christmas money. I got him new school shoes as his other ones are wrecked. I got DD a top in BHS sale and I bought myself 2 tops in the same sale and a wee necklace and earring set. All in all though I only spent £68. I'm about to do an inventory :pof my freezer and fridge to see what food I need to buy for the month. Hopefully not too much.
I am on day 4 of pain due to IBS and the last 2 days have pretty much been spent in bed. Thankfully I managed to get my tablets today from the chemist and I am getting periods where I am pain free, Hopefully the medication will settle things down again along with my healthy eating beginning again. Fingers crossed as I was in tears earlier due to the sheer severity of the pain and my week off work has been completely spoiled due to it .Jeez I'm a moan today.
Anyways I hope everyone is well xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000
