Anyways, I need to go and buy some food. I have also decided I need to bite the bullet and buy a new car. Mine is just getting past it's best now and my clutch feels weird again and I am getting scared driving it as I know something is wrong. My young DD drives it too and I am worrying about her out in it. Sooo I am going to start looking at cars. Iwant a small one that is only £20 per year car tax, diesel and low in insurance so I am going to start trawling and see what I can find. I have a 7yr old peugeot and I have about £2k in cash so hopefully I can keep the costs down a bit. I'll let you know xxxx
I drive a top of the range C3 that fits the bill - very nippy and cheap to tax/insure etc. I have had from new and done 160000 miles in it:eek: Long commute. I love it.Its battery gave up today which is the first major thing to go wrong with it but I am told 6 years is good for a battery:)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Hi folks.
Went with my friend up to my other friend's new caravan today. Was about 40 minutes up the banks of Loch Lomond and the sun was shining. Heaven. My pal and I had the journey there and back to chat about her Dad and my Mum and there were tears but it did us both good. Met our other friend and there were more tears and then a lovely chat and cuppa with the most amazing scenery around us.
Then came home and went in to see her Dad. Just a week since I last saw him but he has gone downhill already. He was exhausted and just looks ill. Had a nice wee chat and we talked about his illness and the prognosis. I made sure they knew I am here for them and it was so so sad. We are in for another few tough months. I cannot wait to see the back of 2012 as this year has been h*ll. One positive though is that my cc debt is defo going down

Hi folks. Been naughty and not been here for ages. Been a couple of weeks of turmoil but am off this week and a few nice things on the horizon so things are looking up a bit
.
I'm getting a £150 bonus from work this week so I have spent it in advance and bought a fridge sized drinks cooler. I kept telling myself that I would buy one when I got my new kitchen but that won't be any time soon so I just went and bought one. I have the space and it will definitely be used so all is good. I also ordered beds for the kids and everything is being delivered on Wednesday.
My car is very poorly and the gear box is 100% on its way out so I need a new car. I am going later in the week with my brother to start looking for one. Just something cheap and economical. Low tax, low insurance and good mileage is my plan.
Going to buy a new oven as well ASAP and get it fitted in as the one I have is terrible. Then any money left over form my Mum's money will pay for the car until my bank loan is paid off.
I am just going to tread water until after Christmas. I will still overpay with any cleaning money I receive but cutting myself some slack otherwise. I would stop overpaying altogether but I always said that I would only do the 2nd job if it was to pay towards my debt and if I stop that then I will be doing 2 jobs just to live . Really want to avoid that scenario if I can.
So I hope everyone is well. I am off work all week for a break so I will try and catch up on other diaries, xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi again. Not even out of my pyjamas today. I have tidied and done a couple of loads of washing. Other than that I have sat and watched television that I had V+ and did some knitting
. Been quite heavenly .
No spends today and don't really intend on having any either. I have slimming club tonight but I paid for 12 weeks last week so nothing to spend on that until after Christmas.
Payday tomorrow so I will pay the things I have to and get some Christmas shopping done as well. I need to wait in tomorrow on the beds and fridge being delivered so I will have another quiet day knitting and slobbing in front of the telly
DS wants macaroni for dinner so I reckon we will be having that.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

thanks guys. 25lbs in total now. Still loads to go but defo in the right direction.
That's my 2 new beds arrived and my drinks cooler. Total extravagance the drinks cooler but I worked hard for my bonus so I feel no guilt whatsoever. I got the lot from Argos on 12 months interest free but I have the money put aside for them all. I'll just not pay for a year though as interest free. You should have seen the state of me earlier though trying to get DD's old double mattress downstairs, out the door, up the outside stairs, across the road and into my car . Sweat was pouring off of me. Rain was chucking it down too . Was going to get the beds all set up for the kids but changed my mind. They can do it themselves when they get home :rotfl:.
