  • Sister Act was just great. Great show and fab company. Went for a wee meal beforehand and had a few wee drinks. Really good laugh. Just what was needed,

SBO I just had to go and support him. I could never let my staff down. I've had some really sh*t managers in the past and I always swear I will never be like that.

Plmbl when I was pregnant with my kids I lost weight as I was sick for the 9 months but I am so glad I did as I would have been massive otherwise. The programme last night though spoke about the problems with the epidural- my doc was very polite and said I had a strange back, which caused probs with the epidural, but obviously it was my weight . I really want rid of it once and for all. I'm not bothered about being Miss perfect or anything but a nice healthy 12-14 would be great.

We went out for food tonight and I just had boiled rice and chilli so that was good, Had 5 vodkas mind you :o.

Car broke down again today but thankfully just a new battery. Thank god for AA , best money I've spent this year :).

Nice long weekend now except for wee cleaning job tomorrow. No work until Tuesday :D. Hope you all have a fab weekend xx

  • Hi folks. I dunno about you guys but I would be a rich woman if I didn't need to buy food. I have spent over £100 this week on food. Granted we are eating well and that includes DD and I's lunch and juice for work, but jeezo .

I have made 8 portions of slimming world chilli tonight in the slow cooker. Will make soup tomorrow and loads of macaroni cheese and freeze that too. I'll do a chicken curry in the slow cooker tomorrow as it was delicious when I made it last time. DD and I loved it. This will mean that there will be fresh ready meals for us all when we need them. Kids were moaning that there was nothing for eating during the week when I was working late but what they really meant was that there were no manky nuggets or anything in the freezer that they could cook easily. I really need to start giving them some cookery lessons :p.

I am going to hammer in the overtime when I can and pay as much as I can from my CC. Next month will be a bit more normal for me money wise. I have a few pounds extra for 1 night's overtime and also my bonus. I owe £200 to my mum's money and I will buy either my oven or a bed with the balance.

My wee aunty has invited us all for dinner tomorrow so we will be out most of the day at hers. It'll be nice though so I am looking forward to that.

My bedroom is finished and the wall transfer looks amazing in it. I have ordered another one as I love motivational phrases so I got one of those for the wall opposite my bed and it will be what I see every day when I waken up. The wall art is in gold and I had gold coloured curtains from my mum's house and it looks amazing. It's quite a dull gold and not at all brassy and I love it :D. Room looks so fresh and clean.

I hope everyone is having a happy weekend :D

    Rich........ and thin.......... goodscales.gif

Maybe you could eat at Aunties all the time - that would get you 1/2 way there ;).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • rich and thin :rotfl:if only !! She would love us to go every week but I just don't want to tie myself down to that but I will go every few weeks. I think she's missing my mum. We took her and my other Aunty up to the cemetery today to see the headstone all done. Anyway a nice wee day with her and my brother and family so that was good and a fabby dinner to boot so happy MIT tonight :D.

I bought more food today . Just some fruit though. Still trying very hard on my healthy eating. Would love to get 2lbs off this week and that'll be a stone.

I batch cooked some stew today and some chicken breasts as I can use them for stir frys, soups and sandwiches. Will make some soup tomorrow and macaroni for the freezer and that'll do for now. I'll have about 10 fresh cooked frozen dinners then :D. Just need to organise the rest of the house now.

Spent about 3 hours ironing today but have looked out all my clothes for next 2 sizes down and will iron them tomorrow as my incentive to keep going :D.

I hope you are all well xx

  • Wow well done on losing that weight.
    You are so organised too!
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • I am not organised at all SBO but every so often I will be mrs perfect housewife. It'll all fall apart again soon :o but this week we will be organised and well fed :D.

Had a wee day off today and have not even got out of my pyjamas. I've worked on and off all day though. All downstairs is tidy, hoovered and steam mopped. Am happy as feel this is the first weekend in month where I have got semi up to date. I cooked kids macaroni cheese tonight and have frozen 4 portions. I also made a huge pot of soup which will do DD and I for lunches this week.

No spend today :D and payday this week :D.

  • I love a tidy organised house. Shame I dont have one!

  • ha ha it's a rare occasion here too and kids rooms are usually just bomb sites :o.

I am off to see Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ superstar tomorrow night and I am so looking forward to it. Heading out for a wee bite to eat first then off to SECC. I am also out on Saturday night to the comedy club and my friend has treated me to that. So this week I am just the proverbial social butterfly and I am loving it :D.

Got my pay slip and between my overtime and bonus I have cleared about £400 extra. I cannot get the beds yet as I have no leave until 29th October for them to get delivered so I am going to use the money to pay back the £150 I owe and get the main gifts for the kids and get my shopping started for Christmas .

My 2 friends were away on a wee break with their hubbies and bought me a gorgeous bag. It is teal leather with brown trim and I just love it. What a lovely surprise. I love my friends. I am very lucky. One of my other friends bought a caravan this week and we are all mega excited about that as it sits on Loch Lomond and we can borrow it any time we want :D.

Got an invite from the hospice to attend a memorial service next week. I am looking forward to it but so dreading it too. Every time I think about attending I am in tears but I want to go and I want to be able to walk into the hospice and have more fond memories than sad ones. Who am I kidding  I'll be a bloody wreck :rotfl:.

Anyway I will catch up soon. Take care all xx

  • >>>>>>>>>>sneaking in after being MIA :o. Please forgive me as I have been having fun fun fun :D. Went to see Jesus Christ Superstar and OMG it was fabulous. Very modern and singing and cast were amazing. Tim Minchin blew me away and Chris Moyles was great at playing Herod. Just fantastic. We had a fab meal at the Rotunda in Glasgow and it was just a great wee night. Last night I went out with my best pal. It is years and years since we have gone out for a wee night just the 2 of us and we had a great time. Went to Jongleurs and had a wee curry and then tried to work our way through the cocktail menu :rotfl:. Much fun was had and I don't feel too rough today so that's a bonus. We had 2 lovely couples at our table and we are both chatty so we had a great night altogether.

We were going to head up the lochside today as my friend has bought a caravan but apparently the road was washed away last night .There is another road there but it would add another hour to our journey - no thanks!!. So a wee quiet afternoon watching x factor and just chillin.

Despite all the social things going on I have only spent about £50 which in the grand scheme of things is pretty good going :D and money well spent as I am realising that life goes on and that I am a lucky lucky person to have so many wonderful friends and family who are happy to have me tag along. But the one person I want to call and tell all about my new found social life is no longer here and I miss her so so much.It could be so much worse though because as I said already I have an amazing network around me.

Been a challenge sticking to my healthy eating due to said social life but I have really tried my best ( except for the booze last night) but have decided that my weight loss journey will be for a long time that I will still have a life and some fun on the way. My liver keeps that under control as I need to be moderate with food and drink as I end up in a lot of pain and it's just not worth it.

I paid my cleaning money to my CC yesterday and that's the first overpayment I have made in weeks so it felt good.

I hope everyone is good xx
