  • Oh he is fine and dandy but his sister is an entire other story. I want to knock her effing head into next week. I swear it's one drama after another just now and I want to run away :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I was working late tonight but I had gone into the shopping centre at lunchtime and I bought DS a new jacket and treated DD to a onesy. Huge excitement from her when I came home and DS was well chuffed with his jacket. Everyone was smiling and happy. I heated up some pasta for my dinner and DD informed me she hates painting and decorating and wants to be a primary school teacher !!!!!! !!!!! I could choke her. You have no idea how many conversations we have had over the last 2-3 years where I have encouraged, cajoled, bribed, blackmailed and so on and so forth for her to go to uni and all I got was ' I don't want to 'I'm sure all you mum's can add your own tone of voice to that phrase. Well there were strings pulled, favours given etc to ensure she got this apprenticeship and she has decided after 6 weeks that she doesn't actually want it. I am in shock  I don't even want to look at her. My brother is furious.

Now I don't want her to be stuck in a job she hates but she needs to stop all this jumping about from one thing to another as I am exhausted with it all. I am heading for a bath and then bed. Teenagers :mad:

  • Evening folks. Am not going to moan tonight :D. For no other reason than I am fed up with all the drama in my life. Things have settled down again. DD is staying in the apprenticeship until she applies for uni next year. So I am going to chill about it all and let her do what she thinks is right for her. I'm still not happy but she needs to decide for herself.

I spent £75 in Morrisons again, healthy eating is expensive. Also spent £5 on slimming club and £3 on hifi bars. I lost another 4lb though so that's 12lb in 2 weeks :D:j.

  • I've not tried the rocky road ones yet. I like the mint ones and DD likes the orange. She has one for her B choice most days for her brekkie. I usually have fruit and yogurt for mine. I just may go swimming soon. You'll see the report on the news when they report the beached whale off the west coast of Scotland :rotfl:.

No spend today and that's now 7 hours overtime done this week :D. Working tomorrow night as well so that will be 10.5 all in. Apparently I'll get about £150 for it next month so that is fabulous. I am due £500 bonus this month but I owe £150 and I am going to buy beds for the kids. They both desperately need them and I will have money from my mum once we get the car loan sorted out. If I manage to buy the beds from my bonus then I will get a new oven and a hall carpet when money comes through. I will stick £500 in an account as an emergency fund, keep some money for Christmas and use anything left over to pay towards my Bank of Scotland card. With any luck I will more or less clear it. I'll see how it goes. Anyway I am shattered and off to bed. Take care xx

  • Evening all. Another 3.5 hrs of overtime done :D, Can only work 1 night next week but not too bothered as I am knackered this week.

Only spent £2 today on a baked potato so am happy enough with that. £25 for petrol but I am not complaining about that as the price of public transport is well out of control and much more expensive for me.

I'm still doing ultra well on my diet. I have tons to lose but I'm at least biting into it. I was watching a very very obese woman in work the other day and I had an epiphany, I just want rid of this excess now and be able to live my life as I should be. I want to be able to go into primark with £50 and buy loads of stuff instead of the 1 top it buys me in Evans.Fingers crossed I manage it this time :).

Off to the theatre tomorrow for Sister Act and out for a meal beforehand. Really looking forward to it.

Kids are off Friday and Monday and I have a wee cheeky day offon Monday. I am intending doing some batch cooking of soups etc as dinners have been a hit and miss this week due to working so much. I need to get more organised if I'm going to work late.

One of my Staff's mum died last Friday. She was in the same hospice as my mum was and her funeral was this morning. I went as his boss and it was so difficult. 3 out of the 5 hymns they sang were sung at my mum's funeral and thank God the singer was rubbish or it would have been much much worse for me. Wasn't about me anyway. Today was about him. I only have 2 staff these days and the other woman's mum died in March, mine was July and his September :eek:unbelievable that all 3 of us have lost our mum;s since we became a wee team in February :(.

I hope you are all hale and hearty xx

  • Aww bless you.

I know I could strangle my kids most of the time too!

Swines. Well done for the funeral, you did your staff a great service by being there.
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Well done for getting through the funeral and also for sticking with the weight loss regime. I also had an epiphany on the weight front last night while watching One Born Every minute: Plus size Mums. I'm a size 18 at the moment but if I gain lots while pregnant I could face the same problems the women on the programme did. Time to take charge!!

Hope you enjoy Sister Act Xx
