  • hi savesummore. Hope you had a great holiday. I couldn't handle 30 degrees:eek:, I would most definitely melt.

Not been here for a while :o but to be honest I am just plodding along nicely at the mo. Nothing exciting is going on. I lost another 3 lbs tonight so I am moving along nicely with that. Just bought a pair of brown trousers and a brand new shirt from e-bay for under a tenner so that outfit will go well with my new boots for work and it is in 2 sizes smaller :D. Might still be slightly neat when it arrives but we'll see.

My friend's Dad gets test results tomorrow to see if he has lung cancer or not so we are all concerned about that :(.

Someone tried to bully me in work but got the sharp end of my tongue instead :rotfl:. I loathe bullies and although I am very laid back I am no pushover and her type rip my knitting big time. She's not talking to me now :rotfl:. Suits me as she really annoys me.

So life goes on with a wee mix of good and bad. Hope you are all well xx

Great news on the 3LBS :j and good for you putting the bully in her place :T Why is it some women tend to be really vile to other women in the work place? You'd think we would try and support each other

Fingers crossed its positive news for your friends dad

  • My life is just one disaster after another just now. My friends Dad has terminal lung cancer, No treatment available and can only keep him comfortable. We are all distraught. Sorry for yet another cr^ppy post. I want off this roller coaster. I love this family so much and I am going to have to go through all this again and not yet 3 months since my Mum died. But I will be there for them no matter what as they always always are for me. Been in tears all day and am knackered. Had a good long blether with my friend and many tears were shed over a cuppa earlier but OMG I am so effing sick of all this. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

  • Oh MiT I'm so sorry to hear that. I sympathise entirely with your 'stop the ride I wanna get off' feeling. Someone told me recently that God never gives us more than we can handle. All I can say to that is He must think we are made of stronger stuff than we think we are.

I'm sure your friend's Dad will be pleased to know you are there for him and his family, but please take time for yourself also. You need and deserve it. I'm thinking of you Xx

Just crashed into your diary as I have enforced time on my hands due to me being in bed recuperating after some surgery.Sorry to hear you are at a low moment, but you come over as a resiliant sort and I am sure you will draw on your obvious inner strength.:) I ahve to say I loved your phrase 'rips my knitting' - will remeber that when I need it the next time the 'annoying one' at work has a go........take care MIT

  • Thanks guys :). Feeling a bit more like myself today. Yesterday was just awful. Just brought everything crashing around us again. But we arestoic wummen and we will carry on and do what needs to be done. I've cleaned since 8.30am today and I always find that cathartic when my world is not properly on it's axel.

Anyways, I need to go and buy some food. I have also decided I need to bite the bullet and buy a new car. Mine is just getting past it's best now and my clutch feels weird again and I am getting scared driving it as I know something is wrong. My young DD drives it too and I am worrying about her out in it. Sooo I am going to start looking at cars. Iwant a small one that is only £20 per year car tax, diesel and low in insurance so I am going to start trawling and see what I can find. I have a 7yr old peugeot and I have about £2k in cash so hopefully I can keep the costs down a bit. I'll let you know xxxx
