  • Shattered.com. But it's payday :j

Paid £80 off of CC today. That was £30 cleaning money, £15 digs money and £35 normal payment. I have managed to overpay in June from my normal £630 so I am delighted with that as I normally have to use some of my wages to make it up to the £630.

I have no huge expenses in July ( that I am aware of) but I am waiting on word regarding my benefits and the reduction due to my DD leaving school. Also need to find out what my increase will be to my council tax. DD will not get a wage until 15th September so she will be needing some help for a while for bus fares, lunches etc. I will also not get any dig money for quite a while so I will lose all the money I receive for her and nothing will be coming in for her . So I am going to draw my belt in extra tight and on top of paying my £630 in July I will try and put some money away for August. Sheesh!! It never ends does it?

I hope you are all well xx

  • Ok time for this month's figures.

Miscellaneous- Spent £118.15 down by £42.85 on May
Lunches/takeaway- Spent £104.39 down by £61.15 on May
Petrol- Spent £105 exactly the same as May
Gifts- Spent £78.18 down by £37.18 on May
Socialising- £32 down by £29.10 on May ( I need to get out more lol)
Clothes- Spent £97 down by £10 on May
Holidays - Spent £30 up by £30 on May

    Year so far =
    Groceries - £1,745.60
    Misc-£750.22
    Lunches - £961.87

So from this it is glaringly obvious that we eat way too much and I am too kind :rotfl:. So food/ lunches and gifts need to be cut down a good bit. This will be difficult with 2 hungry teenagers in the house but I only have £38.13 in my lunch budget left for the year :rotfl:. I reckon I'll need to shuffle the budgets about a bit.:D

  • Good morning :D No rain :j. First day for ages. Not going to last mind you as I think rain is forecast for the entire week ahead :(. Never mind. I will be in work so am not too bothered

Well my washing basket reached an all time high yesterday so my lovely friend who owns the laundry took the whites and the coloureds away and washed and dried it all for me :D:D. I'm just about to iron it all and get myself sorted out. I am going to do the dark loads myself as it is to be sunny today so I will get them dried outside.

I spent a fortune yesterday between groceries and petrol but cupboards and freezers now full and so is car. Hopefully not need to spend much for a couple of weeks now.

My friend was through from Edinburgh last night staying so it was great to see her and the family. She's just dossing here more or less as she is through to see family home from Australia. We sat up until nearly 2am chatting. She's back over tonight but I will be in bed well before then . Now I love this friend dearly but she is a smoker and as an ex smoker I just can't make her smoke outside so my house is reeking. I have the windows open and a yankee candle on the go but eew. The kids are doing their duster about the smell :o. I forgot how bad it was. So today will be a laundry day for me and a telly catch up whilst I am doing it. I am making creamy paprika pork ( low fat version) for dinner and I am looking forward to it. I haven't made it before so fingers crossed it is yummy. Have a great day xx

    Wowsers :rotfl:

I have just spent the last week reading all your diaries from start to finish

If I see someone interesting on a subscribed thread I have to go and check their diary and if that links to a previous diary I have to go right back so I get the full picture :rotfl:

Clearly I am very sad :rotfl:

What a rollercoaster you have had over the last few years.

I am sorry to hear about your mum but glad the hospice is such a lovely place.

It seems a recurring theme on a lot of diaries that they have really awful exes - I guess if the exes stepped up to the mark with maintenance etc then people wouldn't be in debt trying to feed an clothe their children.

I also have a nightmare of an ex - I have always done maintenance through the CSA and when he does overtime and gets reassessed on the higher amount he works less hours and asks for a reassessment

Luckily they have an attachment to his wages so I always get my money :T

Last year I lost all my maintenance as ex has gone on to have 2 children (in quick succession) with his new girlfriend (who also has 2 of her own) and the reassesment counts all of them.

Even when the assessment was £0 I thought he might have still provided money but alas he did not and then he took to only feeding DS at lunchtimes so I had to provide tea  when he got home.

Then out of the blue a few months ago I got a reassessment and he has to pay me quite a bit again :rotfl:
Not sure who asked for the reassessment because it certainly was not me and can't believe he would voluntarily go to them. I guess it might have been the start of the new financial year and they reviewed it.

So if it's ok I'll hop along for the ride :D
  • Oh how lovely. I've had visitors on here :D.

Hedgesparrow- nothing amazing about me I'm just like every woman that's ever been under pressure and am just getting on with it. Managing some things and totally failing in others :rotfl:. I have decided to just go with the flow though and deal with things as they come along. So nice that someone thinks I am amazing though other than my kids. You made me smile a big cheeser :D.

Eager Elephant- wowser that was some read. All my ramblings for the last few years. I think I am actually going to get there this time though. I'm feeling really hopeful. I am with you on the exes. I think my ex sees the kids are okay and have everything they need and this exonerates him from being a Father in any sense of the word. What he doesn't see is how much help my wee mum has given me and my CC bills :rotfl:. But then he said he doesn't want to give me money as I spend it going out. Sounds just like me that :mad:............NOT ! So welcome along for the ride wherever it may take us and the twists and turns on the way :D/

I have spent a few pounds today on nonsense as I had a sugar craving and then went straight to see mum from work so had my dinner there as I just couldn't wait until I got home. Was quite shocked when I went into the hospice though as the woman in the bed across from my mum has been moved into a single room which is not a good sign. Brings it all home to us as the three women in the room were getting along pretty well :(. Just dreading when it is my mum as it is really nice just now just sitting chatting to her with no other pressures. BUT I am not going to think about it and just enjoy the NOW :D

    So take care all xx
