Hi MIT
Sorry to read about your Mum (hugs) when needed.
Well done on still debt clearing with all that going on.:j0 -
Hi folks. Going to have a nice wee quiet day today. No spending and not even going to get out of my pj's. My aunt and my brother are attending to the visiting today for mum so I am going to have a day off. She was saying last night that her 2 big televisions have to go to the girls, her washing machine and dish washer have to come to me . What a woman . Ill as she is she is still organising us all
.
I gutted my lounge, kitchen, hall and stairs yesterday. I did my room the other day so a wee dust in there will do. Just top hall, bathroom and DS's room to do. I'll do bathroom and hall today and concentrate on DS's room tomorrow. He is back tomorrow night and I want it done by then. I love it when the house us clean. Very rarely that it is all done at the one time.
My friend's dad has given me tons of plants for the garden and they are just sitting there still in their pots. It has been so wet I have been unable to sort them out. I'm hoping Tuesday might be dry and I can get it done then. I am going back to work on Wednesday so I need to be super organised before then or my life will fall apart very quickly.
I need to fine £47 by Friday to make my snowball target this month. I don't think I'll have to spend much during the week so I might just manage it.
Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing day5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I cannot begin to tell you how upset I am today. Mum asked me to cancel all her virgin contracts as she will not be needing them. As you can imagine it was an upsetting call to make as I kept thinking about how I will never be able to call her again. The guy doing the cancellations was lovely but informed me that there would be a £94 charge to cancel as she had a new box put in her bedroom in January which means she is under contract for a year. We put this in as she was getting more and more bedbound. I queried this saying under the circumstances that perhaps this charge could be waived. I was put through to customer services and then passed through to an accented person who informed me that no they would still be charging us and that they do not deal with any charges disputes BUT ( and here is the clincher that had me wanting to punch her in the face) they could offer a £50 credit if I was to refer someone to them!! !!!!!!!! I said are you f'ing joking? Why the hell would I refer anyone to you. Then burst into tears and told her to just send me the bloody bill. Where is the compassion in this?? Well F virgin as I am going to Sky and so is my brother so for the sake of £94 they will lose approximately £230 per month in revenue. Good move Virgin !!!
My cousin gave me the e-mail address of the CEO of Virgin so I passed it onto my brother to deal with it as I don't think I could be polite.
I also called CSA and they have managed to get my payments for June stuck in a holding account yet again so no money to me for 15 days . I swear I am going back to bed :rotfl:cos so far my day has been sh*t.
BUT my DS comes home today so that'll make me better as I have missed him hugely. No doubt he will be driving me crazy within an hour but I cannot wait to see him.
I doubt today will be a NSD as DD and I will have a wee while to wait in the airport tonight and will end up having a cuppa. We are visiting my mum and going straight there as there is no point in heading back home. No other spends planned though.
Hope you are all having a good day as I don't mind getting all the sh*t if everyone else is having it good :rotfl:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

No charges funnily enough and a huge apology. That's all I asked for in the first place. It was never about the money anyway as my mum can well afford to pay it but she has been a loyal customer for years so she should have been treated as such5 Year plan. My boy is home. All tanned and healthy looking. Brought me an ornament :rotfl:. Cost me £8 in parking  but worth every penny just to have him home.
Spent £24 in ASDA on food for DD to take to T in the park as well . Beautifully healthy diet of pot noodles and biscuits :rotfl:.
DS loved being abroad so I am absolutely booking up for next year. Just a cheapie Spanish holiday somewhere busy. DS and her BF can come too and we will have a great time. Lovely end to an otherwise cr*p day

Good afternoon
. Much better day today despite the rain. DS is home and not yet driving me crazy. We went up to see mum and she was smashing today. Very bright and cheery.
I've been looking at holiday brochures for next year. I still have 2 years left to pay according to my snowball so I am definitely going for it. The deposit is about £60 per person and I apparently won £50 in the work's bonus ball so that's a sign as far as I am concerned :rotfl:. So I am going to go for it. I have seen an amazing hotel in Tenerife which is 4* and the kids would get free passes for the week to the local aquapark. It is all inclusive so means minimum spends but is about £700 a head. I think that is quite expensive but as it is years since I have gone abroad I am not sure. I may try and see what it will cost me to book it separately rather than as a package deal. Otherwise it will be mainland Spain and a self catering apartment.I am really enjoying looking though.
I had to put £15 of petrol in car today  I swear someone is siphoning it off whilst we sleep. Ridiculous what I am spending. That's £55 this week and I'm not even at work .
DS finishes school tomorrow as here in Scotland we have earlier holidays. He is then off until August. This will save me on lunches but I'll no doubt be out of pocket for trips etc. He has a few trips already sorted out as he is in an organisation that takes them away and does fabulous things with them. He was referred via his school to this as he was being bullied and it has been the making of him. His confidence is way up and I am sure it is down to this group. All trips are paid for and I have no charges for them but he always needs some spends. So I will put away his daily lunch money and hopefully cover any spends with that.
I'm back to work tomorrow after 4 weeks off. I really really cant be bothered now the time has arrived
. But hey ho it has to be done. I need money for my hollibags

Good evening. First day of work under my belt
. Just caught up with 4 weeks of e-mails ( deleted most of them
) caught up with my staff and actually managed a small amount of work. Lots of people came by to say hello and it seems I was missed so that's nice. I did win £50
so got £45 of it today as had to pay my £5 dues from it. I am well chuffed. I desperately need black sandals so I will buy them with it rather than pay my deposit.
I spent £5 today as I gave DS money for a McDonalds because it was his last day. Otherwise no spends. Still being über healthy so all food taken from home ( had to google how to do ü in case you all think I am super clever :rotfl:), low fat and tasty so all good. Made fish portions, HM oven chips and beans for dinner. We're down to bottom of the freezer dinners now as I don't get paid until Friday so only 1 freezer of food left and not much actual food. Am going to do a meal plan though so I can empty both freezers and get them defrosted.
It's my brother's silver wedding in August so I am intending getting a wee overnight stay for him and his wife in a nice wee hotel somewhere. Groupon do great deals so I will see what I can get for them. Needs to be about £50 or so as I don't want to pay any more. July is a cheap month birthday wise for me so I will put away half of the money for it and hopefully actually manage to not use my Christmas savings. Head is full of plans and figures. Just the way I like it
