  • OOh all the best with the job
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Hi folks. Good wee day today. Got my price for heating and £2,200 for full system, new radiators, valves and remote control. Am so delighted with that as I reckoned about £3.5k. Cannot wait. I reckon about £1k for flooring and decor on top of that. So really getting flooring etc for nowt. Well that's how I am justifying it to myself in my head :o. I am delighted though and everyone telling me it's a great price so good show.

Have asked my boss to help me out writing up my competencies as she is pretty good at that kind of thing. Also put out feelers to staff I know who work in the other place and see if I can get any inside info on the post itself. I was on the school board with one of the senior officers so hopefully he will have a wee idea about it.

I am excited again about life. Hopefully things are looking up a wee bit. My boss in work has given me a few things to do and that has made work a bit more bearable and now am all excited about the prospect of a move. My close friends are mostly outside of work so I have no qualms about leaving. Don't get me wrong there are lots of nice people in my office and I am friendly with loads of people but they are not my 'close' friends except 1 girl. I would keep in touch with her. Hark at me!! I have me all moved out already and not even completed the full application yet :rotfl:.

DD made most of the dinner tonight and it was yum yum.HM oven chips and HM macaroni cheese. All part of operation 'get DD to cook before she leaves home' plan. This will take a while and we are concentrating on pasta just now.

DS is already moaning as I want to paint his room and get him a carpet once heating is fitted. He hates upheaval but I have just told him to go away and I am not listening to him. It's my house and his room is a minging mess so it's getting done and that's all there is to it. He stamped so hard going upstairs I am surprised the stairs are still standing . Horrible boy :rotfl:.

So a wee evening dealing with the joy of competency based application forms. God help me xx

  • A thrilling evening I am sure!
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Hi folks. Didn't get much done last night as ended up on phone half the night. My friend has a wayward child and she has been up to some shenanigans again so was talking to my friend half the night about it. Her DD has spent £1k on her Mum's CC in 2 days without permission . Not the first time either. She is gutted. I swear I would throttle my kids if they did that to me .

Anyway, I need to try and get this done tonight. A total nightmare and my mind is blank. The competencies have changed recently and they are like double dutch. I dunno how the hell anyone is meant to fill these forms in and tbh it's for the same grade as I do anyway, I should be able to complete it easy. Arrgghh!

Not spent much today and tomorrow DD gets paid so I will get her dig money :). She is also paying me £50 from the money she owes me so I will pay that straight off of CC. I will also earn a bit extra on Saturday as we have both holiday lets to clean agin so that'll pay back what I have used out of DS's bus money and buy some shopping over the weekend nd hopefully I will not need to touch DD's dig money this week.

I need to start transferring money into my account from CC's so that I can pay for heating next week. I will do it from various cards so that the cash borrowing will be paid off ASAP as I will spread it out and save myself some money.

Anyways I am off to try my own patience with bloody competencies :rotfl:

  • okay 4 out of 6 written  knackered, 2 to go but one is about delivering at pace and the other is managing quality service. Now I know I have lots of things I can include in these 2 but I just need to send home my reports and reviews for details. I have found out that it's a training and development post with lots of stats and MI- again I have loads of experience in this. I just need to remind myself of them. I am doubting myself now but I will throw my hat in the ring and see how it goes. You never know. Heading to bed now xx

  • I sympathise MIT those types of forms are a nightmare. Sometimes I think the people who can fill the forms in are not necessarily the best fo the job.

Great news on the house improvements front.

  • Stressed :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Feeling dramatic !!!!

Hence the huge writing. What a bloody day.
1st thing this morning my manager was yap yapping about targets. She promised me she would stay off my back about this as I am just on the job this week and she took me off for 2 days to do something else . So today being the thrawn type that I am I made bloody sure I reached my target. Damn hard work though. Also she had promised to check over my examples for my form and then nipped at me when I sent them to her. Cow !! She came over later and was super nice about it but I wish I had never asked her now.

So came home and started thinking about transferring the money to my account from my BOS CC for my central heating. When I went on to check I realised that I couldn't send money to my bank account from my CC. I wasn't overly worried until I couldn't find my pin number as I had thought I could just manually lit it then and put it into my account. Panic then ensued. I have now transferred some money from 1 CC and I will lift cash from 3 others :eek:. I have £500 in cash. I find spending money so so stressful. I actually went onto the Halifax site and was going to apply for a loan. I noticed then that APR was 29.9%. BUT if you went over £7k it goes down to 7.4%. I looked at that and thought 'will I just consolidate everything?' Thankfully that thought didn't last :rotfl:. So hopefully I now have the cash organised but I will be another £2k in debt but at least I will be cosy. Exhausted with it all.

So no spending at all if I can manage it as no cash in the coffers :(
