I would have thought that would be the best news possible. If the market starts buying Greek bonds heavily and sends them "through the roof" yields will fall dramatically, demand will rise for all EUR denominated Bonds and the crisis will be over.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
If Greece quit then I would have though it would make sense for Spain and Italy to leave as well - and I mean here within hours of any Greek departure.
I wonder what would happen if the Greek central bank simply starting "printing Euros"?
I know you're going to say they can't do this its not 'allowed' but exactly who is going to stop them: is Germany/the ECB going to invade Greece.....
I'm speculating on whether Greece could solve its own problems by printing Euros in the same way as the UK has the ability to print/create money with the pound sterling.0 -
